Su and Shangguan families did something EXTREMLY Nasty to the Emperor (FL brother) and for that, by ancient chinese law. They deserved clan execution and death penalty at least 3 times, FL was completely controlled by the SQR like a dog and by doing and supporting his side, she deserved death penalty from Emperor.
There is a very solid reason why Emperor castrated him and even from the first day, he was in princess mansion. He was planning to kill her and never actually loved her !

Although I get it, she played the qin today to stop any semblance of marriage alliance forming between Consort and Su family, it will considerably weaken crown prince position (it was emergency situation, and it was the best move) but enough is enough and FL have mouth, which she can use to communicate it with ML or signal him. Today SQR openly disrespected ML in the court in full view of everyone, by coveting her and trampling on ML self-respect.

Which makes it look like, you are unhappy with marriage, and he is forcing you to stay in it. Shit was so bad every minister noticed it and even his trash second uncle felt like Pie family reputation is at stake here and he stood up for him to the Su family guy !
Not only producers obsessed with SQR but they have also relocated ML to minor role, the Xi family case and the upcoming case were ML time to shine in the novel (were highlight of his life story), but they are giving full sympathy and footage to SML. Novel didn't glorify FL romance with SQR in novel and in second life, she was first neutral (no longing eyes) and then leaned hon ML side but they have dragged it way far towards to SML side.
Which nobody is going to sympathize with nut sack but you have made FL character, whole lot unlikeable!

Its a long story but by law she deserved death for backing Su family !

Lol I don't think everybody will be okay with dating their childhood bestie, but she is family close friend daughter and we have known each other all our life (went to same school, college and uni). That's why we have this lvl of understanding and trust with each other.

See it's not romantic but it's funny and I loved ML "memory loss" plot with him using aphrodisiacs drug to assassinate FL, but got his life sucked out of him for it😂😂😂😂.

Firstly, I am really happy fellow woman have started to recognize what we were speaking against from day one and at this point, after listening to the amount of real woman defending her.

Lol, I know you don't want to get traumatized but chap 171 is completely different vibe and it got nothing to do with main plot, heck it takes place 7 years after main story or where drama will end and there is literally one small spoiler in it.
Its the exact opposite of chap 170 and kind of redemption arc for FL, where she finally understands and repents. Chap 170 was the worst shit of the whole novel !
