It's a Xu kai problem and drama is suffering cuz of that. I don't know which side to believe cuz they have outrageous behaviour, and it turns people off and the other side blame them cuz according to the statistics, Xu kai fans always tend to be victim. Other people blame them for self-reporting to lower the ratings and then play the victim card over low ratings.

ML made it clear from get go, he is not interested but FL had dubious morality. She did refused his confession clearly but SML stuck around and by the end, she was violently berating her. Ohh, let me tell you about stupidest cliche, SFL and SML are step-siblings (same father) and so, ML has stepsister who wants to hump him and step brother who wants to hump his sister-in-law (FL, aka ML g.f).

As an Asian myself, her MoM character is realistic but mothers in our side prefer "emotional manipulation tactics over direct one. Their famous goto line is, "I carried you around for 9 months" and you can never pay me back for it, even kid's careers are decided at birth.....you can be either Doctor> Engineer or disappointment. So, trust me when I tell you, I have firsthand experience of how bad its and unlike Chinese (focused more on Economics) our side is more focused on "rites and ethics".
