I have watch Hollywood shit for better part of my life and started watching C-Dramas only 2 years ago. I am neither Chinese/East Asian nor Western and let me tell you something, I will pick TOTEM over Hollywood trash everyday. It's not only me, who is saying this.... Hollywood sales are going down for years and they are famous only in name right now, while Asian industries fame is on the rise. There is a reason people vast majority of population are switching over and nobody gives a F about Hollywood outside the US now. I am from subcontinent and let me tell you something, China + subcontinent together makes half of the world population and we will pick C-Drama industry over Hollywood everyday, I suspect you have cultural bias against Asians and believe world revolves around you.....It doesn't !

You entirely missed my point; Marvel has 100 of comics and Tv shows produced for 40 years to use as reference and they literally increased the texture quality done some minor changes to the old VFX,
The TOTEM was the first attempt at the novel and their VFX are completely different from other C-Drama shows, they used their imagination to create completely new environment. It was their first attempt as compare to marvel 100th.

Marvel universe have okay VFX at best.....after 100's of cartoons and comics, they produce this unrealistic trash. I could have slightly agreed with you, if you said star wars and their spinoffs.

Well its international and mainland Chinese rating speaks for itself and its currently number one there.

I don't know why people are crying about VFX here cuz you can't judge a drama by first 3 episodes, and I don't think their VFX are years behind BFTB. The TOTEM have really spoiled the people here but you have to understand, in my opinion TOTEM had the best VFX in the entire world.
Secondly Xu Kai + Nazha = extreme production cost
So I believe they were already short on cash after that and to top that off, they used artificial environment to make his homeland. Natural scenery would have looked thousand times better and it could have saved them a lot of production cost.

I hope you are right but this year, so far has been dry as compared to 2022.
