I believe they're worried that viewers might leaving the show thus make those kind of statement.

But viewers aren't foolish, they can use their own brain. Given the story they've told us at this point, it make no sense if they're a different person.

And dude, just because it's a work of fiction, doesn't mean that you could show immoral things without being criticized/ having backlash nor expecting people to shut off their brain & accept everything.
There's a thing called common sense & moral shd be kept for.
This is a drama, act by real people, not some kind of manga nor anime. So the production team shd be held accountable for the works they did.

I believe if they told us in their initial premise that this drama was a freaking romance between a mother & son which disgusted most people, many people won't start this drama at all. Y'know that even anime/manga with incest theme had that incest tag, right?
So you can't blame people for expressing their opinion/criticizing the drama for them possibly turning into something they'll never sign for from the begin with.

Am loving this show more after ep 6, that foreshadowing give a deeper perspective on what might happened next.
There's a 2 years gap between the year they're still presenting atm & the current year he narrates.

I think I need to point out though that this drama is more a character driven one, not a plot driven one.
It's more a slice of life drama with rootable/relatable ML & his journey.
So that's why I think people who expect otherwise could ended up dissapointed.

I'm loving the show since I find the show tugging my heart & am rooting for the ML's happiness & his journey achieving his dreams.
Bogum's acting is stellar, I cry when he cries, am hurt when he's hurt, he carried the drama for me. His eyes, his gazes, those micro expressions, speaks thousand volumes!

I think it's a foreshadowing of what comes next, they might have broken up by the time he narrates it, so he probably said that because he think he shd hv had cherish that moment longer before reality strucks them.

True, although for me it's already 8 ep passed & we still stucked at the same question since the first ep, so they better be quick to give a proper explanation otherwise their viewership rating will keep dropping & might not recover, because many people already putting them on hold or even drop them just from the latest ep 7&8 because of how uncomfortable it is to watch.

Well, just because SBS said they're two different person then it means viewers will accept & see them as such. They HAD to make a logical explanation to that. There's something wrong with its show mechanism & writing if viewers had to turn off their brain & feel stupid to be able to watch their story without feeling sick/disgust.

She is his mom or in this case blood/dna related to Jin Gyeom no matter if she hasn't birthed him yet nor even may not giving birth to him at all. What are the chances to have the exact same face, same name, same habits, favs & both were talented physicyst but ended up a different person? How can you be sure she is not the same person? Esp when time travel exist.
No matter which theory you look at (time loop, alternate universe, pararel universe) it will be an incest if they form such romantic relationship.
As it make no sense if both Tae Yi had a different DNA.

True, the last scene of ep 8 was absurd, why won't he kill her right on the spot & had to change places far away when she's all alooneee & it's easier for him to kill her there, lol. Idk what got into director & writer-nim mind, it's just so weird & ilogical.

Tae Yi's reaction is also weird, her first reaction shd be asking people what year & where is she rn instead of that, lol.

Ikr? Their scifi elements is the reason why I'm stay but this incesty romance seems to be their top priority at ep 8, it took too much screentime while unnecessary.
I'm also tired with the whole repetitive rescuing Tae Yi over and over and over, sigh.

I'm seriously doubting Korean broadcasting channels credibility & morality nowadays, first with KBS on how they romanticized a killer ML & make him like a saint just because he is the ML, makes me want to throw up & felt immoral just by watching it. And now these with SBS, yes I see how they promote it that way, sigh, I shdn't have start this drama if I know they'll romanticize this mother & son relationship like this.

I hope so, I really2 hope they won't cross that lines, because idk if I can handle that when now it's even already sooo uncomfortable for me to watch with them keep dropping that romantic hint after hints.

I really need them to settle with their relationship asap, means, Tae Yi know he is her son, or even develop romance with Min Hyuk instead.

Damn I'm almost throw up seeing all those romantic scenes on the first half of ep 8, yuck!
Yep, that light switch, toilet paper, bed room & living room scenes, omg were the writer & director-nim out of their mind to insert that kind of scenes between a mother & son, Gawd! Was it really necessary??

Also, that last scene of ep 8 make no sense, unless they're able to teleport, but even if they're able, it wasn't even needed, so weird, lol

Well the more appropriate question would be WAS IT REALLY NECESSARY to give a romantic element & thropes to a mother & son scenes knowing that it will disgusted most viewers who watch it?
Especially when it doesn't add any value nor substance to the plot except than it become such a major turn off value/ degrading the whole drama itself.

Because it's disgusting to see, duh & it's not us viewers who keep dropping hint of the possible romance between this mother & son, it's the production team who keep pushing using romantic thrope on them & even 2020 Tae Yi see him as a man & developing feelings! Don't blame viewers when the character itself is thinking the same thing, LMAO!

It's obvious & doesn't need to be told/ shown. Since either option they chose the result will still the same=same DNA.
Whether they went with:
1. time loop (means only 1 universe exist and any past change will change the future) then there'll be only 1 Tae Yi exist, if there's more then she's only came from a different time line (past/ future self)
2. Alternate universe. Based on what they're told us, originally there's only 1 main universe exist but then if someone change the past it'll create an alternative time line/ new universe -> same Tae Yi, only being multiplied.
3. Pararel universe. Either ver of Tae Yi will still had the same exact DNA. Why? Because you won't be exist if you're not born from the same parent, you won't be named Tae Yi & had the exact same face, habits/favs & both were physicists on top of that.
Personality wise they can be different based on their own life experience but they will still had the same exact DNA from the things I've mentioned above.

To put it simple, they can do a DNA test between the 1992, 2010, 2020, 2050 Tae Yi & the result will still be the same.
