It's cool that Ni Ni's character hustles to pay her way though life. A Jack-of-all-trades.

Well it's not much of a spoiler to say that Cheng Yi spits blood in any drama.

This show is turning out to be better than I expected. Yes, the plot is generic but the characters are well-fleshed out and their motivations make sense.
I was a bit worried at first that they were turning Big Pharma into a nice cuddly enterprise that helps poor people but thankfully they are living up to their reputation as money grubbing evil corporate entities.

It is rather loud. But a lot of C dramas especially contemporary ones tend that way.

But Wi Ha-joon was in Squid Game.
And his last few dramas are in the high 8s.

It isn't a perfect show to be sure but it has a charm of its own because the leads bring their all to this. Even if it is riddled with tropes, it still has a plot. Sure, I could complain about the bad English and the flawed ADR but it's to be expected when the stories cover unknown overseas locations.
Gu Ruan Ruan is a tad silly but she isn't that bad either. At least she's somewhat helpful in a pinch and isn't completely obsessed with Xizhou.

I'm very thankful that this has finally passed the censorship knife. :D

I'm here for the chemistry I loved in Stand By Me. So far I'm not disappointed.

Yeah definitely that. At times it feels like the actors/characters are just going through the motions.

I'm not someone who thinks the original is perfect but there's definitely something missing in this adaptation. It's not bad at all but it doesn't have the quirky energy of the original. It's also very ponderous. I also think the acting in the original, the guys especially, is better. Jeon Yeo-bin is good although I'm not feeling a lot of chemistry between the leads.

The subs on Viki is not bad but linguistic jokes are inevitably lost in translation. But it's a terrific show nonetheless.

I wish this show wasn't on Disney Plus. Netflix or Viki would have been good. Even Prime would be fine.
But it's Wi Ha-jun and Ji Chang-wook. And I love the genre.

Glad to see so many now discovering this great drama. I think there's definitely a hunger there for romance dramas that are grounded in real world issues that don't go off the rails because of the injection of tropes that don't need to be there.

There's little doubt that one of the reasons why this is good is because it is short. Tight and trim is what they should be aiming for with these kinds of projects.

The best thing are the fight scenes. But I'm not sure why Kaoru and Yahiko were in this at all. Just to stop him from killing? And what a waste of a great character like Shinomori Aoshi.

This show is just endlessly frustrating. Just when you think it improves, it makes the characters do the most absurd things just to raise the stakes. Why are people breaking protocol again and again?

A solid production overall. Casting is definitely the key.

You'll be happy with the way it ends.
