lol it's not that kind of show at all...

I have loved Shin Hyun Bin in everything I've seen her in. She played my favorite character on Hospital Playlist and she was sooo fun as the villain in Reflection of You. BUT her soft-spoken delivery here is driving me crazy. It feels like an affectation. I guess she's a great actress because I've never seen her do anything like this before but I am suffering.

It's on Hulu in The US. Most Disney+ shows are.

It doesn't matter what the specifics are. It's a fact that the daughter has been supporting the household. Nothing we learn later will change that.

I'm surprised at the lack of sympathy for the daughter. She IS the head of the household - not the mom. The mom referred to her as such herself. She's supporting all three of them on her salary and she's sacrificing her health to do so. Ofc she'd be mad at her father who made that necessary in the first place. And the show needs somewhere to go. There'd be no story if everyone welcomed him back with open arms...

People who had no interest in this show watching just because of the hype then bashing it because it's not the kind of show they'd be interested in in the first place. Spare me your 'unique' perspective. If you weren't interested before the hype it's probably not for you.

It's not an "American" format. It's the Netflix format.

Regardless of absolutely everything else - the last five minutes of the series undercut and destroyed the emotional arcs that had been built throughout the entire story. Ending it that way was strange and unsatisfactory for me.

Not a fan. I would barely even call this a romance . The slow pacing was unbearable, the direction was downright schlocky, and I did not care about any of these characters enough to care how this whole academy shakedown worked out. Can't believe I made it to the end.

This was full of morally dubious characters and really fun twists. It's ultimately pretty bleak but I really enjoyed it. Too bad it's not easier to access. I watched on OneTouchTV and when the subtitles got iffy around episode 13, I supplemented with YouTube uploads. Worth it imho.

lol these comments are something else. glad ya'll set my expectations so low cuz i thought it was fine. not amazing, not awful. the FL had no personality whatsoever but i thought the rest of the characters worked well enough.

I haven't read the webnovel. Is the BL relationship in the webnovel between an adult man in the body of a teen and a teen?

listen i'd love an S2 but i saw what a mess this was during production and distribution. how delayed it was. and now everyone's watching it on pirate sites - it won't even seem officially successful. plus these actors have grown up / moved on since then. it's done.

The episodes were originally supposed to be half an hour and they stuck them together. You can tell in these 12 where they episode divisions were supposed to be. And trailer editors use footage all the time that doesn't make the final cut.

I loved this. But there's absolutely no chance they ever manage an S2.

i don't really think it makes sense. i think she should have to return to the future for those memories to exist. because right now, she's "remembering" things that haven't happened yet and if they'd been doing that all along, the entire first half of the series wouldn't have worked.

I'm a little annoyed they've introduced this thing where she's seeing flashes of the changed future that hasn't happened yet. Seems kinda like a writer cheat...

Something about this never hooked me. I loved Koo Kyo Hwan's performance as always but I didn't find characters particularly interesting, everything seemed a little too easy, and I just wasn't all that invested. I think maybe 6 episodes just wasn't enough.
