The audacity of the Ye fam gets my blood up. I mean they obviously remember having pushed Ah'Li and Madam out of their fam and still had the guts to act as if they are one big family. Even if YL's mom had not died, still this is too much. How thick skinned some ppl can be!! So baffling yet I can see some real life ppl with similar character, who are just as infuriating. They want to chummy up to her now that she is married to MXY. Does their inner conscience not make them cringe of themselves? How spineless! Even the sister YY seems slightly better than before by only being annoying and not psycho. Her dad was spineless but his older brothers and elders were too.
On a side note, in the scene where all Ye family members leave the room to go towards YL's father, Bai Lu's micro-expressions wowed me. She went from deep concern to slightly coldly looking almost straight at camera and then follow the rest of the cast. I have that scene replaying in my head over and over and how subtle yet powerful it was.
No she wasn't. She was partial, discriminated between the two sisters for sure, gave bad advices, even told Yeli…
Yikes! I am glad they chose a different direction. This made the shock land well. I was grabbing my "pearls" with the reveal even though I had seen the preview. The seemingly cute and meek, old age mental health issue gran was faking it all along was something more unexpected in a good way.
The female lead CHARACTER zoned out because of flashback right? What kind of facial expressions should that be?…
That is the point. She did not feel those things. In her mind she is justified to do what she did because her intentions were in the right, thinking of ML's wellbeing. She is dealing with immense guilt of not being able to save ML's older brother because the edict was robbed from her and her mom by Ye fam. Psychologically, guilt is very harmful, it makes u do things and rationalize them that normal non-guilty feeling ppl won't. Hence she did depict what her character was feeling. Each character has a different take on things depending on past experience, this one is more complex than u r making it out to be. Here this reaction or lack thereof was appropriate. Also it's called dissociation. Look it up. Hope that helps :)
I think some actors really need constant acting lessons and classes, like am watching this drama and one thing…
They are actually depicting well how a person who has suffered from multiple traumas would be. Bai Lu is quite literally nailing it. Her zoned out smiles, her expression changing from concern to cold in a quick flash, her scared expression when talking to her imaginary dead maid, and so on. They are actually very organic from a psychological pov. They make sense.
Has Indiana Jones/Lara Croft vibes. No romance and a great brotherly bromance. First episode had maybe two jump…
As a fellow disliker of horror, I do fancy your judgement and shall begin this adventure tomorrow in the daytime (need sleep without spooky business). I am grateful for your service Miss Etherealblue. May your pillows be cool and blankets be warm
The A'Yao A'Yao scene was so cute. I felt I was interrupting them. I have butterflies dancing in my stomach. They…
They are so cute. They literally had me blushing and grinning ear to ear in that scene. It was so simple yet so intimate hehe. I am so glad that the makeup artists and editors decided to keep it all natural especially the eyes. It makes them appear more appropriate for the said era. These tiny details are setting this drama apart for me. Of course the acting and writing takes cake.
with how many people i see swooning over him in POJ and here and given that he's only 20, i'd say he's a star…
He absolutely nailed it in PoJ. That too at such a young age. And even here he is doing well. There are more expressions on his face than most idol drama actors 😂🤣
I am always surprised by how delusional SMLs are in most dramas despite their supposed position that should suggest more emotional maturity. Then I remember men I met in real life at high positions too and just go "Ah I see now". I surprise myself by how surprised and disappointed I am each time lol. Even SFLs are evolving, when will SMLs evolve?
Also when he believes his servant's suggestion that YL will understand once she knows his situation from when he was 14, I scoffed. Prime example of how privileged and low EQ thinking works. Sighs in yet another disappointment. He could have been a more complex character but I guess writers wanted to devote that energy to ML and FL, which I am actually super happy with.
I am so happy to see this young actor again in a different flavoured character. He is doing great! Wonder if we will see more of his backstory at sometime in the series
Can anyone convince me to watch this drama? I want to but get spooked easily. I like the actors but the story from synopsis doesnt exactly scream my type. Could anyone hint at what the plot actually feels like? Thank you in advance <3
I knew I was right to hate grandpa from day 1. I dont like Mundo too but the enabler behind his since childhood…
Yess!!! Tell them girl! (or boy or whoever u would like me to call u). I really wish MDL could allow sending GIFs. I would have sent the "violent cheers" one haha. Your comment is chef's kiss

Guess the actor is doing a good job that despite being handsome I don't like his character's guts haha
