Lost Potential
I waited every week for this show with great anticipation. Then came the finale. What even was that?!? The twist about the dad made complete sense but the way he did a complete 180 so quickly made absolutely NO sense. It was at this moment that I KNEW the rest of the plot was going to seem rushed. Unfortunatelu, I was wrong because nothing was rushed, because nothing was wrapped up. None of the major plot points were completed and honestly I feel no type of satisfaction from the finale at all. I actually thought I accidentally skipped back to a previous episode they way the scene changed up and then the episode just ended. It didn’t even leave me anticipating a second season if I’m being honest, which is hard to do because I pretty much want a second season of every BL I ever watch. Maybe my opinion will change later after I’ve had more time to digest it all but the more I continue to write now, the more disappointed I become. Was this review helpful to you?
7 Stars for the Show 10 for Natsume
If I could do a rewatch that was just made up of cuts of Natsume scenes, this would be a weekly thing for me. I think Nao and Uehara are made for each other but I think Natsume was the better choice in general, with Diachu coming in at a close second (if we aren’t including season 1 characters). Side note: Who else was hoping for an Abe, Ota coupling?I think I liked this season better than the first because there were slightly less miscommunications and there was a bit more character growth on everyone’s part but I still wanted the smack Uehara for just not being able to share his feelings at all.
