Racism is everywhere unfortunately, you can’t say a place doesn’t have racism. It shows up in different forms. I remember a long time ago there was an ad made in China where they put a black person in the washing machine and they supposedly came out white, advertising soap as if being black is dirty. There was a big backlash thank goodness but it’s just like here in the US, these ad people thought it was ok and passed through channels of approval because their immediate community think it’s ok, it doesn’t mean the problem will be completely solved with so many people with biases, but it’s good when pple speak up.
Best thing to do to combat it is speak when we see it and educate and hopefully people can taken the knowledge to not pass it to the next generation. Tanning to look black is still wrong it is a form of black face it’s called black fishing . Hopefully someone told him this and he doesn’t say things like that again.
If it was just normal tanning that he engages in that would be different but for his purposes is wrong.

Well in all honesty we do not personally know these celebrities, we cannot vouch for them, we cannot say 💯 why he did say what he said unless he comes out and says it himself, it was wrong and I hope someone close to him pulled him up on it and takes it as a learning opportunity.
China is kind of a super power and Chinese people are in nearly every African country with all this mining, hopefully their people will be more educated than this as they are global.

I can honestly counter this paragraph but it’s not worth it. I think there is no point going back and forth, the script is the script. And as much as you find ways she could have said no the script is going to script. My other point was that someone had posted a few days ago that she was being too harsh and you say she isn’t so my main point remains. FLs can never win, nevermind she is at deaths door but she is still being blamed for a man obsessing over her and writers should really show womens rejections being listened to.

They can never win in that whatever response they have they will be blamed. You said she wasn't firm in her response another said she was too firm. She actually doesn't have a "real" husband in her mind it's over right now, they haven't reconciled that piece yet, she has already said she is not interested in him that should be enough she should not have to use someone as cover to say no I see you as a friend, he even acknowledged he has been rejected when he speaks to Fuyue multiple times...

Again like I said before that is the script, the writer could have put the husband thing great idea, but women shouldn't need to give someone a reason , a no is a no. You mentioned " MLs reject a love interest early" this is the writers who writes men like this and women the other way. Writers do need to show women saying no and men actually listening this can be detrimental in real life if men get the view it's ok to keep harassing someone who is not interested.

Women do not love this attention in these drama, women do not fantasize about psychos obsessing over them. A terrible thing happened recently in Malaysia where a young school girl was stabbed by someone she said no to, gender violence is worldwide and a real scary thing. I don't see anyone fantasizing about SML's obsessive behavior, a lot of people are hating these type of SMLs.
