It was nice to see SHM finally taking some accountability, apologizing to his dad. He still needs to go further and realize what he did to XY was wrong, even if he hadn't fallen in love with her, it's wrong collect dirt on people and think you will use that to keep them as a wife.

We can see Fang Lei was used by him, is he going to apologize for that? She is mentally unstable too, now that lawyer guy has managed to get with her partly because of SHM. Does she really like the lawyer, probably not but she is in that vulnerable state. Initially I was annoyed by Fang Lei, but this character needs real help. Hope they don't minimize mental health here.

I think they did it for the plot. He knows who she meets with, how can he not know she goes to meet the old lady. Even with the latest episode he knows love is an important thing for this guy he wants to partner with, there are other examples of him finding out things about people he wants to partner. he could have investigated XY family dynamics.But the sake of the plot they have to hold this back.

I think whoever does the investigation is not really good lol.... Information about her education could have been easily dug up and who paid for it. Some family dynamics can be investigated, like he does for people he wants to partner with. Also not knowing that she still visits the old lady is crazy.

She is making progress, he should know things she did for him were only because she loved him.
I also liked the response to his hand holding hers. Make it a habit to not hold it 😂

I like how XY humbled him, told him to drop his superior act, he needs her more than she needs him. He uncrossed those legs quickly 🤣

Some short dramas have great ending like that. There are so many CEOs in China drama world, that XY can have. As another commenter pointed out 😂

She is not a good sister, like you say it doesn’t make her evil. She is just not a good sister, especially being an older sister who received love. XY has not had parental love but still has a big heart. She is always taking care of people. She gave her money even if she said no, made sure she had a better place to live, groceries and someone close by to babysit her. Yes, even little chen chen even found a way to help XY.

He is paying the price for it because of his father not because of his own realization. Waiting for him to realize taking advantage of others is wrong himself and think how he can amend. Not because of love but because he realizes treating people like that is wrong.

I want SHM realize himself what he did was wrong like she has. It’s nothing to do with his feelings for her. Just that you don’t do that to people. That’s why I support his father. He shouldn’t wait to see he is in love before realizing he was plain wrong for collecting dirt on someone to keep them under control. Whether he used it or not doesn’t matter because we really don’t know if he would, but he still gathered the dirt for that purpose . Fact remains she left her job to go on the right path yet he doesn’t even realize he was wrong to go after her in the first place, it put the company at risk and it’s just not a nice thing to do, especially since he already knew the lies.

SHM dies worse to his business partners even threatens them with his “wife”. Journalist do those things and business people get dirt to blackmail people. I really don’t like him right now I can change later, but for now I don’t like him, because he doesn’t seem to think what he did was wrong. He is the one who put his father’s company at risk by knowingly entering into this relationship. At the same time he ruined FL’s career. Yes she lied but if he hadn’t meddled with her the fall out wouldn’t be this bad. She is making amends for her mistakes, he doesn’t even see that it was wrong decision to blackmail someone to be his fake wife. He needs to see his wrong outside of the feelings he may or may not have for XY.
As much as I don’t like Zhou, he was right when they first met. He said don’t lie people do it but recruiters will take advantage of it later, unfortunately in FL’s case it was SHM who took advantage of it.
He needs to start seeing he made a bad decision, making amends for it. His dad made the right decision to not vote for him, he needs to grow up. Honestly grandma shouldn’t have the job of telling him anything, his own business partner and family can see how genuine she is. Crazy his spy didn’t give him that information of her visiting the old lady still😂
