Yes I get what you are saying that is why I find it really boring as a " twist " because either there was a timeline where he was dead so it is a mistake from the writer or either he wasn't dead then I don't see the purpose.

Frankly I would have prefered if it was someone else to let the other characters shine a little because so far I have the impression Yi Gon is the center of everything and I don't see the purpose of the others characters (except perhaps Jo Yeong and Eun Sub, they are great)

That would be truly beautiful if Kang Bae is indeed her child or descendant somehow ! Yes her mother is the big reason of her actions sor I think it is more likely to be for her mother than for an unborn child but I am happy with the two reasons, this drama is already really beautiful in my eyes I love it !!

When I saw episode 4 and it gives a lot of hints that Mister Gwi was the prince; I was really enjoying the drama even more that is really interesting. I really like Mister Gwi's character and wasn't expecting him to be even more intriguing haha

There are only 1/4 of the drama out but I really feel like Mystic Pop-up bar will be perfect in term or characters and stories. I am the kind of person who prefer good characters over the story and I can tell even if the story is weaker later on ; Mystic Pop Up bar will still be fine thanks to its characters !

I am with you on this, this drama is already so beautiful and exciting ! I love the fact there is a story/ a lesson of morality with each episode but at the same time we learn more about the characters and their stories !!

They hint romance between Kang Bae and Yeo Rin and the other couple is Chief Gwi and Weol Joo.

I secretly hope somehow Kang Bae is Weol Joo and Chief Gwi's descendant (because in my opinion Chief Gwi is the prince but aged and his appearance changed like Weol Joo) . I think she was pregnant when she killed herself and that is why she accepted to do the punishment. Somehow her child survived or was reincarnated and had the sacred tree power to listen to people complains and help them ? Just a guess + with the help of other theories I discussed with others below.

Anyways I am sure that Mister Gwi is the prince but about Kang Bae being the descendant it is just a wish because I love their chemistry as a family. But it is also beautiful if they are not related by blood !

Yes it is a possibility Kang Bae is the great-great -great-....grandchild of Weol Joo and Mister Gwi Aka crown prince because perhaps she was pregnant and gave birth but the child was taken away because he was of royal blood but in my opinion I don't think so because I can't see Weol Joo killing herself if she knew she has still a child Alice Somewhere...

Or if you remember when at first she wanted to go to hell but then she read something, was shocked, and agreed to help 100 000 souls. It was perhaps about how her mother died instead of her but what I am thinking is : she learnt at that moment she was pregnant and when she hanged herself she also killed her child without knowing it. And perhaps the soul of the child reincarnated somehow ?

The theory about the sacred tree is really interesting too ! So perhaps if my Idea is correct too the child in her womb somehow get the power or the sacred tree ?

But I must confirm : Weol Joo and Kang Bae have not the same power : Weol Joo can control dream, Kang Bae can make people talk about their misery and Mister Gwi Can transform himself ( at first for Mister Gwi I thought every spirites could transform themselves temporarily but it seems like he is the only one who can do it )

For Weol Joo ( when she was human ) and Kang Bae it is because when they were bien their spiritual " gate " wasn't closes si they have a special ability but that doesn't mean they are related by blood. Seem like Bodyguard has a special ability too or the contrary : her spiritual gate is close and Supernatural powers can't reach her.

But yeah a lot of time they said Kang Bae was special especially the Death said Kang Bae was strange. If somehow he is the descendant of Weol Joo + his family get the power or the sacred tree this drama would becomes even more interesting, I like it a lot already I have a good feeling about it like I will not be dissapointed

Yes the Bodyguard can disable power or absorb it ? Seem like it dors not work on Mister Gwi but I think it either because she must touch him to disable it or Mister Gwi is too much powerful ( even the Death asked him his help )

So true ! <3 It still amazes me he is 25 years old, like you said he seems younger (or is it perhaps because of his character here ? I only saw him in Goblin before Mystic Pop-Up bar and I found him cute too but not as cute as now in Mystic Pop Up Bar)

+I don't see any romance between Weol Joo and Kang Bae it is more like a mother-son relationship. A lot of people think they will end together but they misread the hints I think because they are the main leads...

And Weol Joo - Mister Gwi are like parent figure to Kang Bae because he was an oprhan and it is the first time he can rely on someone without hidding his power. I find their relationship really sweet.

Yeah the couples in this drama are :

Kang Bae - Bodyguard
and Weol Joo - Chief Gwi (who I suspecte is the " majesty " from her past life)

Kang Bae will end up with the bodyguard.
Weol Joo will end up with Chief Gwi.

I am sure Chief Gwi is the prince/majesty Weol Joo saved in her human life. She said his writting seem to comes from a nobleman and he said he was someone important but didn't go further. I think he makes a deal to watch over Weol Joo. He has a power too because he can transform as he wish when Weol Jo can't for example so perhaps even his appearance isn't even his original appearance. He was complaining toWeol Joo that if he wasn't working with her he would have a better job but when the Death told him he can stop to work for Weol Joo : he refuses and said it was too early.

Lee Tae Ri reminds me Adachi Hana in " Yankee-kun to Megane-chan "; I can totally see her like an ex-gangster trying to live a normal life but can't hide her true self

Anyway I hope there will be some character development about him and I hope he will pay what he has done to Yeol Chan too because it is not funny to have social anxiety because of toxic people I can really relate to him...

I think Man Shik will change little by little and will pay his wrong at the end. Seem like in the next episode someone will stole one of Man Shik's idea so he will understand how it is to be stolen of something...

I am curious about something : Are they really in a dream when they teach a lesson to the bad guys ? Because in episode 1 Kang Bae found Weol Joo's hairpine in the supermarket's roof back to reality and in episode 3 when the bodyguard has a flashback about her evil boss you can see Kang Bae behind him -but in the last case it is perhaps just because it was tiring to film the same scene ? -

I don't think there will be romance between Weol Joo and Chief Gwi but they seem like an old couple bickering sometimes and Kang Bae seem like their kid haha

" The trio is like father mother and son " so true !! Especially in episode 3 when Weol Joo was scolding Kang Bae and Chief Gwi was defending him haha in my head I was like " They seem like his parent that is so cute " I love their relationship so far !

Mystic Pop-Up Bar was already a lot of fun but they just add the bodyguard love interest in all of this and it is 100000x more fun >ç< Loving this drama, everything is on point : perfect acting, funny and interesting characters, great story and ost + I love this format of 12 episodes because each episode feels like a movie a lot of things happen

I have the impression sometimes there are nothing to watch but sometimes there are a lot of fun dramas at the same time ; Mystic Pop-up Bar, Team bulldog and Kkondae intern I am really happy

In fact we don't know how his family get the money because they needed money when he was little but they don't explain yet how they found it... Kang Ho seems to restent his father who passed away so I wonder if his parents hasn't done something wrong to get it ? Anyways yeah it is indeed interesting to see especially because he uses his money for good deeds ( for example he helped a poor father to pay for his son's hospital bill ). Glad to know you will watch it !

I was curious about this drama but now that I see a lot of comments about the scandal of the main actor I am digusted about how people can easily judge others people they don't even know personally... Whether it is the actor's or the woman's fault, what is the point to argue about this ? It is not like somebody knows the actor or the woman personally so mind your own business... Even if you use article or interview as proofs : who are you to decide who is the culprit in this scandal ? Were you there when the scandal happened ? I don't think so.

And what is really frightening is you can destroy people's lifes just with your judgement, please be aware that your words are powerful perhaps not to the whole word but at least to the person who will read your comments...
