I don't see why he would travel in the past to save Lee Gon who is his rival in Love. I sense a very dark secret…
I just hope if that is the case that Yi Gon will not understand it too late... That is why I find love triangle very frustrating because it gets in the way of the story in so much level ! I really feel like Shin Jae is that kind of character who is amazing but always with with his loneliness ...

I don't feel him like a potential bad guy. I just want him to receive a bit of love for once ( please some friendship between Yi Gon and him ? ). They clearly showed him like a righteous with the shady money he refused to take and when he had enough of his mother's crap and let her pays her crimes... By the way I saw comments about how he was cold to let his mom like that but I think a lot of people misunderstood it : It was not the first time his mom was doing that and he was fed up of her behaviors. I think I am really attached to his character because I have a father liker his mother and it is tiring.

Even if Yi Gon is his rival in love, that doesn't means he would let him die...

Why I think Shin Jae is the savior : Hands are the same, lot of foreshadowing when Yi Gon and Shin Jae met (Yi Gon check if he was his savior very quickly and I think he will regret later because he was blinded by his rivalry + Shin Jae's words " I am nice the first time but the second time it will be different -the time he saved Yi Gon and this time when there are actually meeting (I don't means Shin Jae knows already about everything but I think the writer make foreshadowing in the discussion), he knows about the royal's symbol + he is skilled with guns.

Why ? My cruel theory is Shin Jae is Yi Gon's doppelganger. I think the uncle didn't killed him to use him later but Shin Jae will not join him. Yi Rim changed Shin Jae's face and family and sometimes check on him. That's why he has nightmares + he recognizes the royal's symbol because of his childhood's trauma ( When Yi Rim killed his father and uncle + used his real mother ). I think that is the real dark secret... And somehow perhaps he tried to killed Yi Rim before Yi Rim get to the other world and in the same occasion he checked on Yi gon

Yeah that what I am thinking about :/ I am sure his doppelganger is alive and I think that would be logical if if is Shin Jae and the way Jo Eun Sub is Shin Jae's best friend like Captain Jo Young is Yi Gon's best friend. They lvoe Jung Tae Eul too. + Tae Eul didn't found Shin Jae's doppelganger either that's strange and I think it is because Yi Gon and Shin Jae are linked

huuuum they love the same girl ? xD
No more seriously they don't have to be alike, see with Captain Jo Young and Jo Eun Sub personnality for example and I think the uncle changed his appareance

My theory about how Shin Jae is Yi Gon's doppelganger seems more and more likely with episode 7... But it is really creepy if that is the case because that means Yi Rim somehow changed his life from his appereance to his family... :/

I don't like apples, you should be ashamed of yourself.

On a more serious note, I suppose I am on the " negative " comments side for now but my opinion can still change and if I am still watching it : it's because I feel potential in this drama and I am supporting actors (and because I am bored too ).
I must clarified if actually someone cares haha : If I comment even negatively it is not to annoy anyone. I just want to share my opinion because I love to discuss about a drama; to share opinions and feeling or even ideas of what could happen. I will always try to do constructive criticism and I will never tell "I don't like it" without a reason to explain it.

For the rest; you summed it up.

Omg Kim Kyung Nam's side profile×D❣ and I went ROFL when Lee Min Ho said it's like he's staring out the picture…
Woo Do Hwan : Hyung seem like he can write a lot of poem in this picture. I heard Go Eun Noona thinking out louf " Poem..." and pick your photo...
Lee Min Ho : *Finding his perfect target to tease * World's record...( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Kim Kyung Nam : (≖_≖ )

Did someone see " Cast of The King: Eternal Monarch tells us what they really think of each other " ? It was so sweet and hilarious to see Woo Do Hwan, Jung Eun Chae, Kim Min Ho and Kim Go eun teasing Kim Kyung Nam about his picture ! And they were always choosing him when they were asking a question haha

Even if the plot moves from now , still the writer have wasted a great opportunity to get the viewer attracted…
So far what I don't understand/love are :

1..The romance between the main leads

" Does the 25 years ' wait because of a picture make a couple ! Like really ! She isn't even his savior ! "

Exactly what I am thinking all along I just don't understand... I tried to pu myself in his shoes because I thought I was missing something : if I was a kid and someone saved me from my evil uncle and even if I would have seen her face clearly and I was sure she was my savior.....I would be grateful to her okay but not already have a crush on her + As a kid I think that would have been more believable if he saw her like a big Sis at first but after their encountered love would have blossom.

I think that's why I prefer the cliché hate/love relationship because at least there is a real evolution between the characters, here it seem really precipitate. I would have loved if for example they were already together in the other world but she died and when he saw her in this world he hugged her because he was happy to see her alive again but not because he fantasized about her for years...

Something that is really terrifying me is I saw a lot of comments saying : " Yes but he is handsome and rich so it is normal for the girl to fall for him, I would if I was in her case"
To me it would definitely be NO even if the guy was my type and rich : he comes out of nowhere, hug you without permission and touch you a lot of time without permissions by the way when he doesn't want to be touch himself, is talking about how he is a king in another dimension and you saved him without showing you proof and ask you to follow him in a forest at night.... Yes because he is handsome ? I know it is a drama but I know there are people too who would really do that in real life because they think it is okay.

+ I am sure it is not even the girl who saved him (pretty sure it is Shin Jae, he seems to have the same handle and slim hands with veins ) and even if that is proved right Yi Gon would still be obsessed with Tae Eul for whatevers reason.

2. The blank expressions from most of the actors when I know they are good actors

A lot of time I just can't read their expressions or there aren't expression at all to begin with. It is so strange because of that I feel like half the characters are just robots reciting their lines and it bugs me because I know it is not a problem of bad acting...

3. Real charismatic and interesting characters have not so much screen-time...

I don't have much to say about it all is in the title ( and I noticed I wrote already haha)

I hope the drama will show me that I am wrong and I hope the second half will be interesting.

So far what I am liking :

Some characters, potential interesting story and potential interesting realtionships/bromance/sismance between alter egos and how it is filmed sometimes.

Pas si nul que ça, mais bon... I don't like too this writer, and Goblin is my favorite boring nightmare drama.…
Exactly ! The game of seduction is really important I don't understand why they make the king so clingy/powerful/full of himself. I will not comment further more because you resumed what I am thinking !

Title Tunnel Spoiler
My thinking about the end is that the timeline that Kwang Ho creates by going back will “merge” with the “current”…
I think the same too so when Seon Jae and Yeon Ho will be around the same age they will remember + they will have sweet childhood memories too
