Yeah, they always said ancestor, not grandmother or great-grandmother. And the maids talk about Moon QueenS marrying into the royal line, so at absolute minimum Yannv is their grandmother. There are always just so many specific detail slipped in sideways, I have no doubt there is something I missed.
Could you imagine DFQC and XLH’s child? He/she would truly be the most supreme being in the 3 realms with parents…

Do we know how many generations occurred in the intervening years?
2. Hellfire- do we know if it is actual fire? Is it hot? Cold? Can it be both?
3. Does anyone recall what the seven emotions are?

That would also totally change Rong Hao's story. It basically have to change everything, from his pact with the Cave God to what his actual motive with the Evil Spirit was. Your idea is very intriguing and would have rather interesting retcon applications to the whole story.
Read a theory that Xilan tribe was not really annihilated by Rong Hao. He hid them in the painting world...

This has been tickling the back of my brain. Why are we so certain she doesn't remember? She never said she didn't remember, she only asked "What happened?"
And our little XLN has been getting smarter throughout the entire show. What if she was just trying to have some space and time to come to terms with that and what it meant? What if she just wanted to see what DFQC would do with that information? What if it honestly just didn't matter to her? She learned a powerful lesson in that it didn't matter if he was Daqiang or DFQC. Why would it be any different for her?
And honestly most of that stuff doesn't matter or even register to her. "I guess you don't know, my blood can bring the dead back to life." Um...that is kind of a major deal and she was treating it like she was telling him it was Thursday. She hadn't been keeping it from him, it had just never come up. To her it wasn't an important detail, until it came time to use it.

I am just trying to keep up with him. The man thinks too quickly for me. He made a lot of realizations and decisions during the 1st scene with the Cloud God. He came out of the "nightmare" already acting on them. In the first conversation he had with her he planted a clue (that I still can't figure out) and THE next scene CH is in the castle after DFQC met with him and let him in and asked him to go on a field trip with XLN.
He has a plan and is acting on it without delay and I am just scrambling behind him trying to follow the breadcrumbs he left.
