I would say think about the word "her" carefully.

I think the being mean to her is a red herring. The writer has done this several times.

Yes and No. The wedding is still a ruse, but CH agreed to bring back a body-swapped Goddess of Xishan (aka DFQC) to Heavenly Realm as a sort of Trojan horse to take down the Emperor.

The fortune tree shows CH and "Goddess" walking up to the Emperor to be wed. The "bride" is able to get rather close to the Emperor this way.

Like you said, no/less bloodshed.

I mean it won't happen right away. They both already have other projects lined up. But sometime in the future it would be nice to see them reunite professionally.
