The "Difficult Adulthood" tag made me laugh. Does that mean someone has a hard life? So, like... just adulthood, then? What a strange way to put it. π
Or else Seo yeji as Ko moon young asking for KSH phone no. and Haein getting jealous and both Queen fought for…
Oh, right. It's fascinating to me how scandals work in SK. In the U.S. no one even bats an eye when we find out shady stuff celebrities do. π I now view celebrities a lot more like politicians or CEOs of mega-corporations. Lots of money, power and fame/influence tends to mess you up...
It's almost different imo she's more like a calm cold person here and not shouting too much.
I might get eaten alive for saying this, but in IOTNBO the FL felt sometimes like a spoiled, petulant child (and yes, she shouted a lot!). Her portrayal in the 2nd half felt more like Hae In. But the cold, blunt, and intense FL is not super common in Kdramas. Usually the ML department. π
Just got done. It was such a cute drama. The actors were also superb!
Yes, love this one! And I'm bummed to see the rating fell to an 8.4. But the number of watchers makes up for it. If a drama is over 100,000 watchers there's no denying it's a classic.
This was my first Kdrama, so I will never forget it.I did enjoy it very much, and even rewatched it. It takes…
And it's amazing how much the ML grows on you over the course of the series! He starts out so rough.π Chae Soo Bin is cute from the get-go cause she's adorable no matter what she's in. :)
have you seen the original Taiwanese version that came out in 2001? Its closest to the source material and was…
Interesting! I didn't know that. I wonder what changed?
I've been hearing people say they think Chinese romance dramas (very recently) have stepped up their game and are surpassing Korean romance dramas, but I struggle with Cdramas... I've liked a few but some things really bother me about them. The way they portray MLs as romantic but aggressive (but in a way that's more subtle and swoony than the toxic Korean MLs of yesteryear) really makes me uncomfortable. I feel like it's regression to an era we shouldn't be returning to, and everything looks/feels more plasticky and fake than even in a Kdrama, which is saying a lot... Anyway, I'll have to check it out!
Wow, was Reborn Rich really that popular/good? It didn't look appealing to me at all...
Sounds unpleasant! I've only liked some revenge dramas, so I doubt I'd like it. I liked Vincenzo well enough till our consigliere did some crazy violent torturing of our villain and I kinda peaced out (loved watching him outsmart the villain, but had no desire to see him torture people, no matter how bad). Also why I've never seen The Glory (and Kim Eun Sook's writing isn't always my favorite anyway)... I could only stomach Itaewon Class because it had other stuff that it focused on besides revenge, like friendship and the ML growing out of a desire for revenge. I prefer those stories because I know revenge doesn't bring satisfaction so I struggle to enjoy dramas that focus solely on it and conclude with it as some kind of satisfying ending.
