I have to agree with many of the comments—this series is seriously disappointing. At this point, you have to be a pretty diehard BoatOat fan to keep watching. Everything from the script to the acting to the production is just lacking. A few actors are doing fairly decent jobs, but that in itself isn't enough to carry the series. Kinda bummed—I was really looking forward to this one :(
I think we all knew they were gonna get married in the end. How? Because nine times out of ten, in Chinese BLs specifically, I find that the opening credits basically spoil the entire series. I constantly have to remind myself to fast-forward or close my eyes during the intros because of that, lol
I just Googled “Bittersweet Love EP 11,” and it came up within the first few results.
As for my thoughts on the episode, I wouldn’t say I found anything completely unexpected or surprising, but there were definitely some impactful moments. And, of course, my usual annoyance with the treatment of Xiao Fan continued, along with his ongoing helplessness—though this time, it’s with a bit of a caveat 😉

I just do not understand the roles of the two young actors in this drama. for me it looks like there are 2 stories…
They’re actually there for a reason—not just as a random side couple. They act as a narrative mirror to Qi Lang and Yu Hao when they were rookie actors, highlighting how easily actors can become emotionally attached when they’re paired as couples, how the industry expectations placed on them can influence how they approach relationships, and how blurred the lines between acting and real feelings can become.
That said, even though I understand the purpose of their storyline, I’m not a big fan of it either. Imo, I think the series would have been just as impactful and understandable without them.

Yes, and I hope it's agonizingly slow and painful—he better not just get thrown in jail! And I honestly don't think it would have taken away from the intensity or dramatic impact of this episode, or the series as a whole, if they had just left some of that vile content out

I agree, but I also disagree. Imo, sometimes an issue is important enough that a message needs to be sent. And if that message includes the possibility of others—even if not involved—taking a bit of a hit, it may just help that message get across more effectively. Hopefully, he’ll correct himself before something like that happens.
