I keep trying with these Chinese BLs, but I just can’t with most of them. They’re so overly dramatic yet so underwhelming at the same time. And have any of these people—cast, acting coaches, even directors—ever been intimate with someone? The kissing is either tight-lipped or fish-lipped, their facial expressions are nearly always flat, and the touching can be so awkward af that it’s just cringe to watch. There are some exceptions—this is not one of them for me

Yep, that and Viu—it's looks to be the same subs on all platforms tho. Occasionally I see an area where a better word or term could have been used, but it's still completely understandable. If it were 100% AI-gen, you wouldn't be able to make out but one, maybe two words in a sentence, and that’s being generous

I’m talking about the 30 seconds they knew each other before he started calling him Hia, and the 30 minutes before asking him to be his business partner lol

I don’t think it’s terrible. It’s not great, but it’s not terrible. The script is a little weird, little choppy, but that's something I've come to expect when Copy A Bangkok is involved. Some mentioned bad subtitles. I haven't really come across that. The subtitles on the platform I'm watching it on have been fine 🤷🏻‍♀️

Let's hope the upcoming episodes are a bit smoother🤞 It's not going to be a blockbuster, but I still want this to be a good for them ❤️

The story itself is genuinely interesting, funny, and even emotionally intense, and the writing/adaptation is actually really well done, but the costumes keep taking me out of the experience. It’s kinda hard to stay immersed in serious scenes when everyone looks like either a decorative curtain or a rodeo clown lol

It didn’t take long to see the actual reason this was probably shelved. What a disappointment. I feel bad for Jeff, Barcode, and the other decent actors.

That said, after the debauchery that was Love is Like a Cat—also a Hanyang Studio production—I’m surprised they agreed to do this at all.

100% truth! I’ve been saying this for so long—DUNK CANNOT ACT! His acting actually gets worse with every series—how that’s even possible, I don’t know. Joong has been carrying this pairing the best he can, and I really wish they’d give him a different partner 🤞

I have to agree with that other commenter about Duang being annoying, but unfortunately it also applies to this series for me. I think it all just comes down to personal preference—I’m just not really a fan of the puppy-toddler-like persona. I absolutely love him tho when he's more down to earth and chill.

That said—and don’t everyone come for me at once—I don’t think the seried would be what it is without his goofiness

Yeah maybe. Well, in any case, I hope you all enjoy the last four episodes—go ahead and hate, but I think I’m out on this one. It just wasn’t for me, but I’m glad y’all are liking it✌️

What is left to happen for four more episodes? They easily could have trimmed this down and made it 10, maybe even 8, episodes and it still would have worked just fine.
