This is actually one of the most realistic best friend turned lover stories. its so underrated its sad. i dont know why this drama did not get a lot of attention but it sure deserves it. you cant go in comparing it with 2018 dramas though for those watching or planning to watch.
there were no evil characters, no obstacles as such. it was just purely realistic. all characters were flawed, none was perfect. they all got into situations and did not deal with them to solve them, rather dealt with them in a way a normal person would. it was just perfect.
music was wonderful. the ost Fly Again is so apt for this show as the main theme of this show is forgetting yourself with age and missing your youthful days while struggling in your 30's. so the ost is perfect.
acting was brilliant! the cast was superb! the story was THE BEST. however the rewatch value is not too much. not because it wasnt great or the show failed somehow. simply because a drama that is realistic and has a good realistic pace and is not fast paced to suit episode lengths, will be hard to rewatch with patience. so yeah maybe there this drama lacks but the rest its awesome!
Call me crazy but am I the only one who didn't enjoy Dohwan's acting in here as much as everyone else? Iike I…
the thing is the writing was terrible. the script didnt suit him. the seducing part sure, but not the otherwise cringey weird character that was written for him. hes a great actor who didnt deserve this piece of crap
horrible drama to have to wait for every week BUT a good enough one for binge watching! WDH was AMAZING. i love him. i hope he gets more successful dramas next he is such a gem of an actor!
this is such an awesome drama! MUST MUST MUST WATCH! hilarious! comedy done RIGHT! all actors were amazing but Lee Yi Kyung was on a whole new level! his character was the best thing ive ever seen on kdramas!
why do you avoid j-dramas in the first place hahaha
yes i have seen heroine shikkaku and i couldn't even complete it because of the animted acting. yep and since im not a fan of tragedy, i usually end up with a genre that supports animated acting :/
why do you avoid j-dramas in the first place hahaha
personally i find the acting in jdramas too over the top and and exaggerated . after having watched some dramas and movieds i understand it's not that they are bad actors, it's just how the acting style there is. from my personal understanding it has to do with coming on the same page as anime style but personally i find it's not my cup of tea.
but this drama was different.much different. the acting was flawless!
dont question it. just watch it. im a super super super picky person when it comes to dramas and this is the only family drama i watched and the only one with this many episodes. believe me i was depressed it got over. its one of the best!
i am so glad i watched this despite knowing it was a sad movie. it was beautiful. it really makes u think that though it ended sadly, it wasnt that sad because they found love so beautiful. knowing its based on a real life couple, it made me enjoy it even more.
'i can not wait for you for a year and a month...i can not wait for you till you turn 25, but i have waited for you my whole life'. BEAUTIFUL.
Anyone know if this drama will get a season 2? I liked it a lot :c
they have a lot of loose ends so they could totally make one. especially the ending was set up that way but with the problems this drama faced throughout its run, they were lucky it finished sucessfully so i doubt they would go for a season 2
i wouldn"t say its exactly a happy ending but its not a sad one either...i honestly didn't like it that much but…
i finished watching it and i totally get your comment now. if someone asked me, id say the exact same thing although it would confuse someone who hasnt started the show yet. but after you watch it, its exactly this!
this is beautiful. you can literally feel the characters change physically and emotionally throughout the years. its so realistic. and i love how its different from “Itazura na Kiss". even though as a child the girl is a little clingy and takes on all the rudeness of the guy, as u keep watching u can tell its nothing but her immature kid self learning. as they grow, u realise this was the most strongest female lead out there. it was beautiful. the entire show was an honor to watch.
the friendship portrayed was beautiful. there were times i almost cried seeing at how nostalgic school and university days were for me. it is absolutely a must watch. its slow, quirky and cute in the beginning but just like everyone, as they grow up it becomes more fitted to the new grown up age. ITS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.
the characters are beautiful. the plot may be cliched but its not about the stroy. its how it was portrayed. my firs chinese drama and i am absolutely blown away!
i know nothing about this show yet as i was waiting for it to end before i start. can someone tell me if the ending is sad? as in for the main characters at least?
Lol they’re nothing alike. I actually like Min Joon more, but I’m pretty sure I’m the only one that thinks…
exactly my point. because do hwan came into my attention in save me, i kinda looked for similarities unconsciously and i realised that was the wrong way to watch and wasn't fair to the character min joon. i liked them both in their own ways. dong cheol was more intense. min joon a little less. but they both had their naive-boy act on as soon as they wore glasses and i can never get over that hahahahaha i live for do hwan's innocent boy acting in glasses
