It'll probably go back to present timeline (after HillTer and JohanNorth get together) since we saw what happened between then in Season 1 already. I'm sure we'll get a montage though of how Phoon met his friends from his POV etc.

Idk if the show will touch on Phoon being ready to kill himself until he meets Easter and North, if it does it'll be quite shocking I think.

If GMMTV is smart, they'll do something like ThamePo with Felizz.

If the first few episodes are emotional in a sad way, the next few will be emotional in a happy way. Phoon finds a purpose to live after he meets his friends (Easter, North, and Daotok) and finds the family he never had.

I think they've known each other since childhood, but they've never been friends, their relationship is very formal still, mainly because of Typhoon's dad.

The story does follow season 1. Both seasons follow the same core friend groups:

The 4 minis with Easter, North, Typhoon, and Dao

We've already seen HillEaster and JohanNorth's stories, so this season focuses on TonfahTyphoon and ArthitDao + TigerNao who are North's friends.

As for this episode, the timeline is before Season 1 begins. Tonfah and Typhoon meet and spend time together 2 months before university starts and Season 1 begins with Easter and North meeting and befriending Typhoon during freshman orientation.

Actually there's a reason why Typhoon doesn't want to tell Tonfah about his sister's death. Let's just say it's related to very deep trauma within him. He wants to share his pain with Tonfah, but his relationship with his parents, which was already bad, got worse after his sister's death and he thinks that will happen will Tonfah too.

Second, Typhoon has been abused by his parents all his life. His father was physically, emotionally, and verbally abusive while his mother was a bystander. His sister was the only one who took care of him so she was known for being super overprotective of him. She used to say she'll live with him and take care of him her whole life, that's why Tonfah is surprised they're separated.

Because of Typhoon's PTSD and abuse-related symptoms, there are tons of things he cannot do alone. One is being able to navigate because his parents never allowed him out of the house when he was younger. So his sense of direction is terrible, which is why he gets lost so often. Second is his fear of the dark and loud noises. Third is his self-harm and suicidal tendencies (not touched upon yet in the show, not sure if they'll go there) which is why his sister was always around him.

One small correction, GMM25 isn't GMMTV's channel, it's that of their parent company's (GMM Grammy). GMMTV is a very small subsidiary of GMM Grammy. In fact, the whole company only has one floor (30th) in the GMM Grammy building!

I love the actor who plays Hioki. He's doing a fantastic job playing someone who's shy but still sociable and friendly.

Thai fans who read the novel said it's actually a very positive and heartwarming story so I think those vibes will carry forth to the adaptation.

Aston's character hinted at having HIV from birth, so probably a tranmission at pregnancy. Again, it's a stereotype that HIV only spreads through sexual contact and a lot of children/teenagers who have it suffer because of that view.

New has directed serious shows before. His best work, Until We Meet Again, explored generational trauma in the LGBTQ+ community.

My Only 12% and Until We Meet Again are very similar to this tone-wise.

Seeing June finally get her lead role after being in the industry for 7 years is very gratifying as a fan. Of course, Mewnich has been acting for a long time, but has had main roles before.

Looks like they might be adapting parts of the Dan Nuea/Jayden arc.

Thit x Dao's entire story happens after the three other couples in the friend group have already gotten together.

TigerNao aren't part of the doctor/drawing club friend group and just know them in passing. They're North's friends in the same major.

This show is going viral in Thailand, so many hit tweets loving the humor and tiktok videos of people acting like Thee lol.

This has tons of lakorn references and Thai-specific humor that's very tough to translate to English.
