She keeps us so busy. I think I received 3 hours sleep last night from posting and liking all the new material…
Oh yeah that's what i thought too, she's busy and we're busy too🤣🤣🤣🤣... Milan fashion weeks was the one that made me lack of sleeps for 3 days in a row😄 imagine i needed to stay awake or woke up at 3 AM to join the trending party🤭 but it's all worthed because our lusi went trending worldwide
#ZhaoLusi: From the wrap up of #LovesAmbition until now, I haven't actually got to rest yet, I was working everyday. Tomorrow, I'll be having my Costume Fitting for #AlmostLover already
Houlang's Executive Producer shares about his talk with #ZhaoLusi 🎞️ 🎥
"During our filming period, I asked her, "So are you going to go into movies next" and she replied me, "I'm not. What I'm going to do is to do my best in my current field. I want to give myself time to polish myself."
Every flower has its flowering period. Some flowers may bloom in Spring, others during Winter. So everyone should learn to keep growing and leave the results to Time"
Interviewer of Cosmopolitan November 2024 Issue describes #ZhaoLusi to be a Sensitive and Attentive person. At the same time, she's capable of balancing her Emotionality and Rationality 🩶
❝ Zhao Lusi is a person who pays great attention to detail and has keen observational skills. Before the interview began, she gestured for us to sit a little closer, explaining that her voice has been a bit hoarse lately and she was worried we might not hear her clearly. To improve the recording quality, she picked up the recorder from the table and clipped it to her collar.
Lusi has always had a habit of observing people and things. As a child, while dining with adults, she enjoyed paying attention to everyone’s expressions and their relationships, and would often return home to confirm her guesses with her mother. After becoming an actress, she increasingly felt that sensitivity can be beneficial for creators to some extent.
However, in her daily life, Zhao Lusi doesn’t let her sensitivity lead her into emotional turmoil. As a Scorpio, she describes herself as someone who maintains a strong balance between emotionality and rationality. She doesn’t waste her attention and emotional energy on meaningless things and avoids maintaining unnecessary relationships. She has her own rhythm. On set, she brings her full focus, ensuring that her co-stars don’t see her when she feels down. After wrapping up for the day and returning home, she clears her mind like pressing a memory erase button, deleting many things from her thoughts to avoid internal conflict. ❞ COSMO 2024: Sensitivity can be beneficial for creators to some extent
I like how Lusi has always been honest about being a Sensitive person and although society often connotes sensitivity with weakness, she sees it as a benefit to be better able to portray her characters!
Cosmopolitan November 2024 - Excerpt related to #ZhaoLusi's Family and Childhood 🎂
❝ Zhao Lusi's cheerful and sunny personality is partly influenced by her family. Growing up in a warm and loving home, her parents focused on teaching her the important things in life without imposing strict rules, simply wanting her to grow up happily!
From a young age, she showed interest in the arts, so her family encouraged her by enrolling her in guzheng lessons, dance classes, and a hosting course. She loved watching historical dramas, and during the airing of Empresses in the Palace, she would sit with her mother and grandmother in front of the TV, sometimes draping herself in a bedsheet to act out scenes. She refers to "Empresses in the Palace" as her "enlightening drama," and she still watches clips from it today
As a child, Zhao Lusi lived with her parents and grandparents. Her mother told COSMO that until Lusi was 6, every birthday was celebrated with family gatherings and cake. Once she started school, she began celebrating her birthday with friends. From primary school onward, Lusi looked forward to her birthday as the most carefree day of the year, waking up to pocket money and enjoying a day free from adult supervision.
As she grew older, her birthday celebrations included dining out and karaoke with friends. It was as if her birthday marked the beginning of her desire for freedom. "I always wanted to be free as a child, like most kids do, not wanting to be restricted by family. But when I left home for school, I missed it," Zhao Lusi shared.
On the day of a photoshoot, her mother accompanied her to the set, helping with makeup and styling. Such moments were rare, as Zhao Lusi had developed a habit of independence from a young age, making her own decisions and taking responsibility for them.
Her mother named her "Lusi," which sounds like "lawyer" in Sichuanese, hoping she would become one. However, Zhao Lusi thinks that she isn't suited for that profession because "I can't argue with others. ❞ https://x.com/wonwoncity/status/1846946847673536982?s=46
In Cosmopolitan November 2024 Issue, #ZhaoLusi once again discussed about her intention to make breakthroughs while still staying within her Comfort Zone! 🫀
❝ Since her debut, Zhao Lusi has starred in several Costume Dramas, captivating audiences with her sweet and lively image. However, she has been contemplating how to break through and present more diverse roles. She reflects on the opinions she hears about whether, after several years in the industry, she should take on roles she hasn't portrayed before or explore entirely different genres.
After careful consideration, Zhao Lusi has made her choice. She emphasizes, “If you feel comfortable in your comfort zone, then please don’t step out. Finding your comfort zone is actually quite rare and a fortunate thing”
Zhao Lusi does not want to blindly challenge herself for the sake of it; instead, she prefers to expand her boundaries and embrace more possibilities within her "Comfort Zone"
For example, the character of Duan Wu still falls within her comfort zone, but the character's dramatic fate, the vitality that emerges between life and death, and underwater scenes all present new challenges for her. "That’s also why I chose this script; I see it as a breakthrough. I want to bring freshness and a different viewing experience to the audience."
Acting has also given Zhao Lusi the courage to try things she previously avoided. Before filming #TheStoryOfPearlGirl, she wasn't interested in underwater activities, but she learned swimming and diving specifically for this role.
For Houlang (Gen Z), she studied Traditional Chinese Medicine to understand pulse diagnosis techniques. She has also learned skills like archery and horseback riding for her work. The charm of acting lies in the need for actors to continuously open their hearts and expand their perceptions and life boundaries. ❞
I'm an honest viewer and I give review from my own feeling, don't take it to heart. But you see this drama, It…
I am sorry i don't understand what you're talking about.... this drama tells about the journey of Xu yan (coming from an unwanted child from poor family to an ambitious woman, fake identity, career and marriage ruined and lastly self redemption, rebuild her life , zhao lusi has said she won't take a role if there's no character development on it. This is a slice of life urban romance drama
the story of pearl girl's broadcast that was initially planned for an october premiere might be slightly delayed to broadcast in november instead but the silver lining is that it's preparing to air on multiple tv channels (currently, beijing tv is pretty much confirmed)
***Dragon TV and Jiangsu TV might join
The benefits of airing on National TV Channels:
national tv in china often comes with higher production values, broader reach, and greater prestige compared to streaming platforms (like tencent/youku/iqiyi)
they typically attract larger audiences, which can lead to more significant advertising revenue!!
due to it being a state-run media, they have stricter content regulations, which enhance their perceived quality and legitimacy~
