It’s xianxia drama.. building characters on earlier episodes.. angsts after 12-14 episodes.. that’s their formats… but it’s quite comedic during this calm episodes

If you really watch.. then you must have seen ep.1…. It’s when Zhao lusi’s character as phoenix queen (more mature) but got killed, she’s reborn now as a baby beast but will grow up later once ML kills her.. then will be reborn again until she goes back to her real form PHOENIX QUEEN.. a very mature one

It’s still building character at earlier episodes… they will be more mature soon. Lusi is newly born water beast.. her voice will be changed into 4 stages later on.
