It means you haven’t watched pingpong life, beyond and hikaru no go… they go into very detail, their struggle to become a champion… but those are sport drama with no romance involved…only brotherhood
It’s a tough question…. I watched this because i like both leads, and the novel author is the same with the story of ming lan… so, both are masterpieces IMO.. maybe you should give it a try …. And 2nd half was much better.. so many hilarious and of course sad scenes This drama is family, slice of life , comedy, political palace and romance.
One thing i hate C-dramas about sports is they focus other aspects more than sports genre

Yeah that’s the beginning of it.. he’s full of himself when he replaced song yang the last day of theatre drama. Now, getting jealous day by day🫠🫠🫠.. but this is really happening in C-entertainment..
