Are you aware of china, japan and korea shared the same anchestors thousands years ago? Why don't you just say japanese still use some chinese characters on their writings style until now? Atleast korean has created their fully- own writing style in 1443.

So, it's not weird at all if you see the similarities in China , Korea and Japan in terms of cultures, languages or foods
Same things also happen in european countries.
