Zhao Lusi's acting performance is completely different from her previous roles! This time, as the leading female character, she needs to show her growth process. We even discussed how to portray different ages, like the difference in how her character reacts when she is angry at 18, 19, or 20. We reached a consensus to capture the sense of realism in life.
If we hope to make a grounded show, we must pursue authenticity, rather than opting for an idol-based approach just to make her "appear pretty"
In terms of appearance, her character started off looking "dirty and disheveled," wearing tattered clothes and going barefoot, lacking the glamorous feel typically associated with female leads.
