Idk about others.. but zhao lusi has never put eye drops since she can easily cry anytime, she cried even during dubbing, She even cried 2 hours straight during TLI dubbing, we have BTS for that, producer TLI said to her: “do you even know you’ve cried for 2 hours straight?”
zhao lusi always fully immerses herself in her characters to evoke the necessary emotions that help her deliver the most convincing and tearful performances on cue 💧 "1, 2, 3, 4, 5.... I definitely shed 5 drops of tears..." 💦

I was very afraid that this kind of character would let the audience misunderstand that she's in a comfortable position and isn't fully empathising with the struggles others are going through
While having to allow the audience to be able to feel her strength, I needed to make sure it wasn't a stiff performance. I actually found it quite challenging to do that back then
I was hoping more for Duan Wu to use her strength to influence the people around her. To tell others, "Don't live in the eyes of others but you should live for yourself"
