I didn't read the book but I do like all characters that matter to have a conclusive ending as opposed to like wreaking havoc and then poof, disappearing without a trace or explanation. Just be like both kids disowned their parents and parents withered away in their home pitiful and despondent.

So I hope wicked witch of the west doesn’t get a redemption arc but just lives the rest of her life miserable and alone. Other than that notch above his heart in the shower scene, he’s got no other scars so it would make sense that he was targeted for assassination but survived that. Was probably discharged due to heart issues from that. If the rest of that happened, they’d need 70 episodes not 40 and he wouldn’t be able to become a first responder of any kind with a dishonorable discharge for treason; he’d be dead. I really think they’re going to go with the attempted murder instead.

You have to give it a try and decide if it’s something you like.

In one of the flashbacks it shows him shot and the lighter saving him, maybe instead of being framed he was shot just because I don’t think with the rest of that he’d be able to become a firefighter in that country. Plus not sure it would pass censorship. Having someone try to kill him is different. Anyways we’ll see how it plays out.
