But they do mention the dates, right at the beginning the date is on screen, and that it's the same day (or the next day) as the HKG handover. Whatever we may think about it, it seems accurate that this propaganda would be a part of school children's life at the time... :/

Irrelevant, but the Nokia 3310 box was so nostalgic & iconic (at least for me)!! :D ...But then he opened the box & the phone inside was Not a Nokia 3310, LMAO!! :D

Wow the amount of CCP propaganda promoting HK integration is so intense...
I think they included these parts for this drama to be able to pass censorship - I just shut off my brain during these scenes and try to ignore them like a really bad commercial - it's dreadful but it is what it is I guess... :/
