one thing i cant stand in cdrama and kdramas is that the customers are alwayssssss shoutingggg
Between Xu Miyu's sister & mother, the mistress, & the customers folks are just coming across as unruly & disruptive usually for no good reason. Miyu and Feng are such a contrast with their soft voices.
This show is not capturing my attention at all. I keep getting distracted by the dishes in the sink, get up and make tea, go to the bathroom, did I turn the light off?, etc., etc. I'll give it a couple more episodes though.
The leaked version suggested a few more seconds of unambiguous post-coital bliss & fatigue, although both characters seemed fully clothed so the mechanics are a bit unclear. Maybe it was post-makeout & heavy petting only. LOL
Something that's been bugging me from early on when Changyu was preparing the court appearance to keep the house: why didn't her parents give her a better education? You wouldn't expect her to be the most well read person in Lin An, but she is portrayed as borderline illiterate. It seems out of character for her parents - especially her educated mother - to have neglected this.
It is the biggest plot hole I find myself grappling with.
Something about Chang Yu reminds me of Buffy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I don't know if TXW is channeling SMG, but the thought keeps intruding in my mind.
His and Murakami Rikako's son, Watabe Ren, plays Kentaro in "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters".
