I’ve watched 4 episodes now and to be honest, both ML and 2ML would be horrible partners for FL. The FL is a charming, happy young country girl who would be happiest with a young cook who could keep making delicious new dishes for her, or perhaps a young guy who’s traveling the land and would take her along with him.
Instead, her choices seem to be two men who are both much older than her, both neck-deep in manipulative court politics, and one keeps actively attempting to murder her, sadistically causes her pain, and threatens her into doing his bidding, while the other keeps manipulating her and using her as bait. I hate one and dislike the other, both are much too old for her, and neither would make her happy in the slightest!
I hope the drama will change my mind over time, but for now, I want her to just run away from both and never have anything to do with them anymore!
It’s because whoever booked their flights didn’t factor in how much luggage divas need when traveling all around the world. Or maybe it was intentional to create drama?
What exactly do people want??? Most cdramas are unserious or suffer from poor production issues that even top…
It’s on the no. 1 spot for China and has a good rating already (ratings usually go up after the finale), so I’d say the majority agrees with you. Just ignore the few haters who spam the boards with irrelevancies.
it should be 9 if not too much SRQ focus. Lots of people left. Even double has 40000 comments. This drama has…
You’re right - he’s the main villain and antagonist, so of course he needs to be unlikable and have some screen time. Otherwise we’d just watch the leads happily bathing for 40 episodes with zero conflict, which would make this ahem.. a different genre. 😆
From the comments. Looks like i am never going to watch this as the production team made changes from novel. Simple…
Don’t trust the silly comments from 13 year olds. It’s a very enjoyable and funny series. Some immature viewers (or people with several accounts) seem to demand from their dramas that the MCs must be Mary Sue and Gary Stue, that everything they do magically works, that the villains never manage to thwart them in anything, etc. But the majority likes interesting stories and characters who are complex and flawed. Just watch without worrying.
Actually, I don't agree. TJ didn't give up the power either and became the leader of his clan. And all three of…
Exactly! Why doesn’t SHE give up everything for love and decide to accompany XL in what he has decided to make his life’s mission? It’s not as if an army didn’t need skilled physicians! If she just married him , had children with him, and respected his life choices, she could be happy with him for the rest of his life (however long that may be). And perhaps even convince CX to stop fighting them.
XL is actually so sweet: he knows the king, his enemy, isn’t XY’s real dad, that her real dad fought on the other side, and that if it was all exposed he might have a chance with her, that she could join him… but he won’t expose it because she’s so happy with her fake dad. In everything, he genuinely considers her happiness above everything else.
She felt relieved seeing SRQ being well in this life. It's normal to have some bond between them, at least he…
I thought that the tender hand-wrapping must have reminded her of how he ‘lovingly’ kept feeding her poison in the last life. How mistaken she was in him, how false he was then. How trustworthy is he now? How much was affection, how much was fake? I think these kinds of painful thoughts must have gone through her mind. I would have looked spaced out, as well.
Yes but okay if the ending depicts the show as a fictional story written by an author as in Story of Kunning Palace.…
No, I’ve heard they’ll say that the past life they remember, where things went wrong, was just a prophetic dream allowing them to make better choices in real life. But it’s also possible that they simply got away with the disclaimer they showed in the first episode, that this is just a story and has nothing to do with real life.
on the contrary, I’ve been watching too much smart/capable FL lately and I find myself yearning for a damsel…
Here it’s a balanced mix: she’s smart but a weak princess who can’t fight physically. She needs pampering and protection, but is courageous and a skilled politician.
