Just Good

This drama is a perfect example of how a weak plot can damage an otherwise promising story.
It brings together some of the best possible actors, faces we truly missed seeing, and their acting is genuinely excellent. But sadly, all that talent gets buried under an incomplete story and messy editing. No matter how good the performances are, the constant jumping from one scene to another and the awkward cuts ruin the emotional flow and take away a lot of the impact from both the acting and the cinematography.
In the first few episodes, it’s honestly hard to understand what is going on. By the time the story becomes clear, around 10 episodes have already passed, and I can totally see why many viewers dropped it. I think that is also one of the main reasons for its low rating.

That said, if I put aside the plot issues, the love triangle, and the female lead’s struggle to take control of her own fate and prove herself in a male-dominated world, I have to say the humor in this drama is actually really good. It had the potential to become one of my favorites.

As for the characters, I really liked the ML’s simplicity and the sincerity of how deeply he loves. His devotion was one of the things that stood out to me the most.
The FL, on the other hand, was a little frustrating in the romance part of the story because of how confused she seemed. But aside from that, her determination and hard work were truly admirable.

I don’t have much to say about the SML, mainly because I’m not really a fan of love triangles.

As for the second couple, they were honestly one of the most interesting parts of the drama. Wei Shi San is completely and wholeheartedly in love with Gao Ran, while Gao Ran clearly doesn’t know how to express love, yet it’s obvious he is fascinated by Shi San’s beauty. Their tension, chemistry, and even their comedic moments together are incredibly entertaining and easy to get invested in.

Overall, don’t go into this drama expecting a masterpiece. Just watch it with an open mind, without harsh judgment, and focus more on its humor and romance. Yes, it has many flaws, and yes, it could have been much better — but it is definitely not terrible. It just suffered from problems that made it feel more incomplete than it should have been.

But despite all this, I'm having a good time with them. It makes me smile when I see them, I think that's enough to ignore the drama's flaws.
