I finished watching it a week ago. I actually wanted to talk about this drama. I even told myself I would review…
Just imagine what kind of company would want to lose money? Yet in this drama, the more the company loses, the more Pei Qian profits. At first, I thought 5,000 yuan wasn’t that bad, at least it’s a monthly salary. But then I got curious and converted it into my country’s currency, and I was honestly surprised by how low it actually is. That probably explains why Pei Qian works so hard to make his company lose money.
Even though the beginning had plenty of funny moments that made me laugh, as the story progressed and Pei Qian’s smile slowly faded, the humor became less frequent, though it was still there. But it’s okay it was still enjoyable for me.
While watching this drama, I actually felt jealous of the Tengda employees. Even though they’re fictional characters, I was still jealous. I wish I had a boss like Pei Qian and a working environment like Tengda. I don’t mean things like going home early or arriving late like in Tengda’s rules, because jobs like that rarely exist in real life. What I really mean is the positive working environment there. Kind coworkers, a good boss, very high salaries, and great office facilities.
It’s not that my own workplace is bad it’s actually good but the atmosphere at Tengda still made me wish I could work somewhere like that.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story. It kept me looking forward to the next episode every time.
Overall rating: 9.5/10. I actually wanted to give it a 10, but there were a few parts that felt slightly lacking, so I decided on 9.5 instead. 😄
I finished watching it a week ago. I actually wanted to talk about this drama. I even told myself I would review it after finishing it, but I completely forgot about it 😆. (Spoilers below!)
series order :)lost tomb 1lost tomb 2ultimate notelost tomb: explore with the notetibetan sea flower: adventure…
If I begin with Time Raiders rather than The Lost Tomb 1 and 2, I should still be able to follow the story and understand the plot, right? So I’ll stick to your recommended order so I don’t get confused. Tq
I’m only on episode 3 and this is already a masterpiece!!! I was hooked from the first episode! I don’t know…
For those who are currently watching this drama, may I kindly ask whether Episodes 1 and 2 are meant to be slow? I’m still at the beginning and find the pacing a bit slow so far. Does it improve from Episode 3 onwards?
The novel came out and it’s actually a happy ending. All three demons love and so does cat demon. Hy and Xy…
Wow, the ending is really perfect. I wonder why they didn’t use the novel’s ending. Anyway, in my mind, I’ll take this as the official ending of the drama.
Can someone help me? I heard this series has many versions and seasons. If I only watch this one, will I still be able to understand the story without watching the previous seasons
Is this a happy ending or a sad ending? I’d like to know before considering to watch, since many people say it’s worth watching. I mean a truly happy or sad ending, not an open ending where I have to make my own theories..also, do many characters die in this story?
This is a good drama, but unfortunately, I had to drop it (see spoiler below).
I didn’t drop this drama because it was boring. Overall, I think it is fairly good. I was prepared for a sad ending, but what disappointed me the most was the constant misunderstandings throughout the story.
While watching, I often felt that the characters could simply sit down and communicate properly. The miscommunication between Li Susu and Tan Taijin happens too often. . I’m fine with misunderstandings. I’ve watched similar dramas before but in this one, the misunderstandings between them never stop.
I feel that many problems could actually have been resolved if the characters had communicated more clearly.
They resolve one problem, argue again, make up again, and then another misunderstanding shows up. It never stops.
At some point, it became too much for my heart to handle, so I decided to drop it 😭
P.S. Please don’t bash or hate me this is just my personal opinion
I know that ratings on MDL are given by many different users with different opinions, so they can’t be fully trusted. Still, I didn’t expect the rating to be that low. The lowest rating I’ve personally seen before was around 7, so seeing a 6.5 really surprised me. Yes, there are a few dramas with ratings that low, but most of the time they’re mini dramas. Full-length dramas usually stay in the 7 or 8 range. A rating as low as 6 honestly makes me remove it from my plan to watch list.
Is it worth watching? I’m thinking of giving it a try, but I’m wondering if the drama has a lot of misunderstandings between the male and female leads. Right now I’m watching a drama that’s full of misunderstandings (I haven’t finished it yet), and my heart can’t take another one like that 😭. I prefer something with little to no misunderstandings, or at least not too much.
So, my first thought was what kind of ending is this?? I read some theories saying that the fox that appears at…
What I don’t like about the female characters is, for example, Ashui she leaves Tang Lici alone , Chunji, the fake princess, acts selfishly and even harms Tang Lici for her own interests. As for Xi Fang Tao… I don’t really need to talk about her since she’s the villain here . Btw, thank you so much for the explanation and the links you shared. I feel like I understand Tang Lici’s decisions and the story better now.
I just finished watching this and I want to share my thoughts, but there are too many spoilers so I’ll write…
So, my first thought was what kind of ending is this?? I read some theories saying that the fox that appears at the end of episode 40 might actually be Tang Lici, so I’m just going to assume that the fox is Tang Lici meaning he didn’t completely disappear from the world.
While watching this, I genuinely fell in love with Tang Lici’s character. He’s responsible, intelligent, and always knows how to solve problems. But at the same time, I really feel bad for him. Why does he have to be the one who keeps sacrificing himself when all he ever wanted was just to live his life peacefully? It’s really tough being Tang Lici.
Honestly, I was so frustrated with all the female leads in this drama. They kept disappointing Tang Lici luckily this drama isn’t romance focused, so I didn’t get too annoyed.
Anyway, I’d rate this drama 9/10 because it gave me such a strong impression. Every time an episode ended, I wanted to watch the next one immediately, which is why I ended up sleeping late (haha😂).
I’m also impressed with the props, the characters, and the overall story. The only thing I didn’t like was the ending. By the way, Tang Lici’s outfits were so beautiful now I suddenly want to wear the hanfu he wore because it looked stunning.
Now that I’ve finished this, I’ll continue watching Till the End of the Moon, which I dropped halfway before because I wasn’t that into C-dramas at the time. Tang Lici’s character actually reminds me of Tan Taijin. At least in Till the End of the Moon, there’s still someone who remembers Tan Taijin 😌.
I just finished watching this and I want to share my thoughts, but there are too many spoilers so I’ll write my review below. I also just realised that Whisper of Fate and Mysterious Lotus Casebook are based on novels by the same author. Can someone tell me the ending of Whisper of Fate in the novel?

I’ve seen quite a lot of positive comments and reviews about this drama, but the 7.8 rating makes me hesitate a little.
Could you tell me whether this drama is actually worth watching?
