I'm at episode 9, I'm really struggling. I'm finding the story very disjointed and it's not flowing well from…
For me, I really like this drama because it keeps me interested from episode to episode. In episodes 1 and 2 the story felt a bit slow since I still didn’t know their background yet, but as the story goes on, it becomes more and more interesting that’s just my opinion, of course. But if you’ve reached episode 9 and it still doesn’t catch your interest, then maybe this drama just isn’t for you.
If you can access YouTube, you might be able to watch on Huace channel.
Thank you for the recommendation.I already checked on huace’s youtube channel, but I have to pay for a membership to watch it. I’m already close to the ending, with only 7 episodes left, so I don’t want to spend more money just to get a membership . But still, thank you again ^^
I’m currently watching this drama, still at episode 29 with 11 more to go. I don’t want to give a full review yet since I haven’t finished it, maybe I’ll come back after I’m done. But I wanted to comment a bit because Tang Lici’s character really reminds me of Tan Taijin, and it actually makes me want to watch Till the End of the Moon after this.
Watching this drama also makes me want to wear Tang Lici’s outfits because everything he wears in this drama is so beautiful. Honestly, this kind of genre always impresses me the amount of effort the crew puts into the costumes, props, and CGI. Even though the CGI clearly looks like CGI, it's still amazing considering this is a 40 episode drama, not a movie. I can’t imagine how much budget they spent to create visuals like that.
Also, it’s so frustrating that this drama isn’t available on iqiyi, wetv, youku, or even netflix in my region. It seems like it’s available everywhere else except in my country. I searched all the apps I mentioned and couldn’t find it, so I have to watch it on a different platform
No love triangles, no palace politics, no heavy conflicts, no revenge plots don’t get me wrong, I enjoy those…
At first, I started watching Hilarious Family season 2 (actually, season 1 and 2 have different plots). I stumbled upon season 2 on wetv by accident, so I decided to give it a try. But by episode 19, I dropped it because I misunderstood the ending of season 2. Then I decided to watch season 1. After episode 5 of season 1, someone commented explaining that the season 2 ending wasn’t what I expected.
So, I went back to continue season 2, pausing season 1 for a while. However, season 2 felt a bit dragging for me over time and seemed more like a family that’s annoying and loves to pretend.
So, I decided to drop it again and go back to season 1. Season 1 is very different, with a lighter plot (I wish season 2 could have continued season 1’s story instead of having a different plot).
I really like all the sisters here. Each of the four sisters has a very distinct personality though they quarrel sometimes, they are always there for their family in times of need.I especially like Pei Lan she’s kind, hardworking, and not annoying at all. Usually, characters like her become irritating or their personality changes, but not her. As I said, she’s genuinely kind, diligent, and never gets angry (I hope I can be like Pei Lan, lol).
I also like Lu Bu Ping his character is quite clumsy, which is rare for me because male leads in c-dramas are usually cold or exceptionally talented.
Actually, I really want to talk about the other three Chun siblings and their mom too, but it might get too long. So, I’ll just focus on Pei Lan and Lu Bu Ping.
If anyone can recommend dramas like this light, no heavy conflicts, and family focused I’d love that. By the way, this is my first drama I give a perfect 10/10 because, for me, it’s flawless with no dragging scenes at all.
No love triangles, no palace politics, no heavy conflicts, no revenge plots don’t get me wrong, I enjoy those kinds of dramas, but sometimes I just need something light like this. This drama is about a family who support each other through thick and thin. While watching, I laughed out loud at so many funny and absurd scenes. It’s rare to find a drama with no major conflicts and a truly happy ending. This definitely deserves a 10/10 from me. (Spoilers below)
One question from me what kind of ending is this??? I really liked Jing Kan and Ai Sixi as a couple, but there…
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for explaining. I realized I misunderstood the story. After checking the final part of the episode, I see that you were right . I made a judgment without watching the whole thing😭 . May I ask, why was Jing Kan separated from his family, how did he lose his memory, in which episode did he start being away from them? sorry for asking too many question
Since I still have a WeTV subscription and came across this drama there, I decided to give it a try. So far, I…
One question from me what kind of ending is this??? I really liked Jing Kan and Ai Sixi as a couple, but there were a few episodes where they didn’t even appear one episode didn’t include them at all because it focused on the other Jing family members (which I didn’t mind since the story is really about the whole Jing family). But I started wondering when their scenes would come back, so I watched a few clips from later episodes and decided to check out the final episode with the last part to see how it ends.
And seriously, what kind of ending is that? The main reason I watched was because I thought it would be a happy ending with no one dying and yes, it is a happy ending in general but why did Ai Sixi’s mother have to die? (I don’t even know how she died since I skipped through the last episode.) And then Jing Kang loses his memory? Okay fine, maybe there’s a reason Ai Sixi’s mother had to die she’s a supporting character, I can accept that. But why did Jing Kang have to lose his memory?
What made it worse was that he even married another woman who was already pregnant, while Ai Sixi was still waiting for him? I just couldn’t take it Jing Kan was supposed to be so loyal to his wife, and she waited for him all this time. So, I decided to drop it even though I was already halfway through.
I’ve also decided to skip season 2 and just watch season 1 instead (since season 1 and 2 have different stories). From what I’ve seen in some clips, season 1 seems less complicated and actually has a happy ending.
Since I still have a WeTV subscription and came across this drama there, I decided to give it a try. So far, I really like the story it’s about family and everything that happens within the Jing family. Every member plays an important role, and no one feels left out. I’ve already watched up to episode 19, but decided to drop it because of a few reasons (spoilers below)
That’s true everyone has different preferences. Maybe you’ll like this drama, maybe you won’t. As for me,…
I didn’t even understand the ending did the Shen family actually time travel or was it just a dream? The ending felt like Anran and Shao Guang were just staring at each other. (I do understand the part about the bans, so I’m not questioning that.) But still, the ending was confusing.
What made me sad was that Anran ended up alone until he grew old, and he was the only one who remembered the Shen family. Other than that, the overall story was good it kept me watching until the end. But honestly, waiting until episode 31 just to see them finally get married felt a bit too long. And her brother too why did it take him so long to remember?
Overall, I’d rate this drama an 8.8 or 8.9. I almost gave it a 9, but because of the confusing ending, I decided to go with 8.5 (since mdl only allows 8.5).
That’s true everyone has different preferences. Maybe you’ll like this drama, maybe you won’t. As for me, I enjoyed it, especially the story about the Shen family. Can you believe the whole family time traveled? (I hope that’s not a spoiler since it’s already mentioned in the synopsis.) What I wasn’t satisfied with was the ending (spoiler below).
So, I saw on tt and read some spoilers about the ending (no comment on that since I’m still on episode 7). I know there’s a ban on reincarnation and time travel concepts, but why not make the time travel idea something like what happened in Story of Kunning Palace or A Dream Within a Dream?
The concept could be that the female lead, male lead, or whoever travels through time but in reality, it’s actually just a story written by an author. (Do you guys get what I mean?) Like, the whole story takes place inside a novel that was written, but the main focus is still on the main lead, female lead, or maybe even the supporting characters.
That way, we can still get the kind of ending we want. I really hope one day the director or writer will consider this idea if they plan to make another time travel themed drama.
Currently watching but this is it just me, Did some characters speak Cantonese? Aren’t they supposed to speak standard Mandarin? Maybe that’s why C-dramas usually need dubbing? just asking because I really dont know
I’ve already finished watching this drama, and I’ll be reviewing it based on my own experience while watching.I…
There are a few weaknesses in this drama, but honestly, they’re not that bad especially since the story focuses on mystery solving cases (which is totally my type of drama). Because the female lead is a coroner, the autopsy scenes are detailed . She explains the causes and reasons clearly. The case solving parts are also good, but one weakness is that the culprit is quite easy to identify.
Usually, when I watch dramas with mystery solving cases , it’s hard to guess who the culprit is there’s always some unexpected plot twist that makes me go, “wait, seriously? It’s that person?” But in this drama, I could already guess who the culprit was from episode 1, even though the case wasn’t solved yet. I thought maybe I was wrong, but it turned out I was right. So I figured maybe it was just for that case, but for the rest of the episodes, I still managed to guess who did it.
Maybe the writer or director intentionally made it that way so we could focus more on understanding the motives behind their actions ( I’m not sure). That’s the only weakness I can think of, and it’s still acceptable. Overall, the cases are well done.
I’ve already finished watching this drama, and I’ll be reviewing it based on my own experience while watching.
I watched episode 1 of this drama a long time ago but dropped it since I’d already seen too many romance dramas and needed a break from that genre. Since I dropped this drama a long time ago, I decided to watch it again because the dramas I actually wanted to watch were still ongoing.(I’m a team completed drama person).
I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish this drama and would probably only complete it next week, even though I was already halfway through. It usually takes me around two weeks to finish a drama because I never skip any parts. Luckily, I was on break, so I managed to complete it and honestly, this drama kept me curious about what would happen next.
In terms of romance, I’d say this couple has one of the healthiest relationships I’ve seen in a drama. There’s no love triangle, no misunderstandings they support each other through everything. The male lead is such a green flag. he protects and stands by the female lead no matter what. They both look out for each other, and whenever there’s a problem, they solve it together. For me, their romance feels balanced and genuine. I also really like the second and third couples, especially Yanli and Yuening ( they’re so funny for me)
Since this drama involves several cases (and because there are a few spoilers), I’ll put those in the comments below.
P.S.:Sorry, Please don’t hate me this is just my personal preference. Don’t judge me, I’m simply sharing my honest thoughts about the drama ^^
I’m currently at episode 34, and honestly, I feel like dropping this drama. But since there are only 2 episodes…
So, I got the spoiler that Chu Zhao will turn out to be the bad person. Honestly, I don’t get why the writer had to make him like that. Why not just let them stay friends? It feels so unnecessary. The drama could’ve ended perfectly when Hei Ru Fei and Xu Jing Fu were caught, and He Yan and Dudu got married to live happily ever after. I’m really not satisfied with how the writer made Chu Zhao the bad guy. The drama was already good, but the last part… hmmm, it just feels dragged. I actually wanted to drop it, but with only 2 episodes left, I can’t.
The thing is, this drama did make me blush a lot. I still remember that line from He Yan “I like the moon, but the moon doesn’t know.” That part really made me scream inside. Honestly, the writer should’ve wrapped it up at episode 30 or at least 32.
Sorry if anyone feels offended, but this is just my opinion🥺
I just see a post on iQIYI top 10 series and this series on the top 1 then here I'm and the rating danm 8.6 is…
iQiyi always puts their new dramas in the Top 10, and about the 8.6 rating maybe it’s because this one was highly anticipated. For me, the drama is okay. It’s funny in the first part of the episode and also in the middle. But toward the end, it feels dragged. Honestly, it could’ve ended at 30 episodes, or at least 32 when the main conflict was already resolved (don’t want to spoil). Instead, the writer stretched it out with unnecessary drama. I actually wanted to drop it, but since there are only 2 episodes left, I decided to just finish it. Anyway, this is just my preference maybe you should try and see if it suits your taste, and if not, you can always drop it.
I’m currently at episode 34, and honestly, I feel like dropping this drama. But since there are only 2 episodes left, I’m pushing myself to finish it. The first part of the episode, I actually enjoyed He Yan’s childish yet clever side. In the middle, there was a scene that really made me blush especially that line He Yan said about the moon (don’t want to spoil it). But towards the end with the war part, it was just okay, and as it went on, it started to feel dragged out. I almost dropped it, but with just 2 episodes left, I guess I’ll hang on. Anyway, this is just based on my preference everyone has different tastes, so maybe this drama might be okay for you.
