to answer your question, this is based off a novel/webtoon that has homosexual themes, those themes were removed in this adaptation for the purpose of the drama airing smoothly in Korea.

but I should also warn you, this drama also has an actor (supporting actor with minimal screentime) that was convicted of rape...
