I don't even remember how I stumbled onto this today. But I gave it a watch and was pleasantly surprised by just about every aspect of it. Story, plot, acting for sure, technical stuff, all good. I was sorry to find only 4 episodes though at Pinoy Movies Hub online. Can anyone tell me if the other two ever got made?

The title might have been a mistake.. To me "Daddy Love" sounds like a porn video.

Kiko is beautiful/cute and Sir Mark is incredibly handsome. Both did well with the acting but I'm especially moved by how Kiko was portrayed. Having already been exposed to so much ugliness in his life and yet he still has an innocent, generous heart, as well as self-respect. From some angles his face was downright angelic/beautiful. I don't know the age of the actor and it doesn't really matter because to me Kiko looks about as much like he's 26 as I do, only in opposite directions times 3 in my case. I wish the script had given his age as 18/19, which is how old he looks, and it would have been a stronger challenge to societal norms about age-appropriateness in romantic relationships. To a 26 year-old a 40 year-old guy is not a "daddy." More like a substantially older brother.

Whatever their ages, the two together are a beautiful couple. I was grateful for the gratuitous butt shots of Sir Mark in the shower early on.

I would love to see the rest of this, I hope it got made and that I'll find it some day.

Haven't read all the comments or reviews yet, but I will. I stumbled across this flick just this afternoon. It is silly, ridiculous, somewhat stupid at times and absolutely wonderful.

Anyone who disses this movie for over-acting or story weaknesses or whatever, doesn't get it: I think those people are taking this flick way more seriously than it ever asked to be. It is a slapstick comedy with a great big heart and a kick-ass message. I LOVE the actor who played Ichijo, the famous movie actor. His comedic body-acting was hysterically funny. Our Manga-lover, his love-interest, is almost as good in a less flashy role, and they offset each other perfectly.

I laughed a lot and cried at the end. I don't ask a lot more than that from a comedy, or a any movie really. I don't care that its extremely low budget showed at times. A few belly laughs, lots of giggles and some tears at the end give this flick an 8.5 from me. ENJOY!

This goes right to my most hated trope in the BL trope list: Tops and Bottoms. First of all, there are all kinds of sexual things two guys can do that do not involve anyone's butt. Handjobs, blowjobs, 69, frotting (where you just get naked and rub against each other until climaxing) are all fun and hot options. I only found BL about 17 months ago and this obsession with Top/Bottom is, to me,the most bizarre thing about it. MANY gay couples NEVER have butt sex. Some do it once in a while. Some do it almost every time. And a LOT of people switch back and forth between topping and bottoming. It's hot and it's fun!

People who are "traumatized" by bottoming either didn't do it correctly, lacked preparation, or had a very selfish and brutal sexual partner who cared only for their own pleasure.

I really dislike that BL culture teaches naive young people that there is ONE way to have gay sex, you do that or nothing, and that you are either always a bottom or always a top. It is ridiculous. It bears no resemblance to reality, and it also furthers the ideas that bottoming is "weak" or "womanly," and that bottoming is somehow taking the role of a woman in a straight sexual relationship, so that means it's automatically the submissive role. I would love to see a BL in which it is made clear that the couple switches back and forth in topping or bottoming for each other, and that they don't attach more power/dominance to one over the other.

Again, guys that age are ready to go all the way all of the time, anyway, anyhow. And you're cuddling with a hot piece of meat like Bbomb all night and nothing happens. Nah. :D

I thought Thailand, Vietnam, etc. were pretty warm/hot year-round. Why am I always seeing these BL guys in sweaters, jackets and sweatshirts? And the 1980s wants the one-clipped side overalls bib-look back.

No engineers, but just about every other BL cliche has already been checked off the list. Both leads are naturally hot, I agree, thank god. I HAVE to disagree with you about the hair up in a little pony tail thing. On the right guy it's another pants dropper for me. And the grandson is one of those guys.

Are you from Northern Thailand? This show has some good qualities. An original plot is NOT one of them, as you know. We've nearly covered every cliche and trope and we've only seen one episode.

Meh. Cute leads. How many cliches and tropes in the first episode? So many, it's hard to say.

Completely agree that Mark is hot as f**k. That sideways smile he does make my pants fall off even when I'm sitting.

I just don't think Bbomb and Jin act like boyfriends at all. They don't communicate and Bbomb is jealous as hell. I could do some research and prove you wrong about Thai BL being so "family-friendly" as you put it. I'm not implying they have to show the guys DOING it, but they could make it clear that they DID do it without getting graphic. By the way, aren't TharnType and Together With You both Thai BLs? Both were pretty explicit, as BLs go.

I agree, but these are very young and athletic young men with fully functional sex drives. At that age we are horny as hell 24/7. I would not be able to sleep in Bbomb's arms without getting a raging and constant boner that would insist on being satisfied. I think maybe this is an example of when the fact that many of these BL writers are women makes itself obvious. Generally speaking, women do not experience the sex drive in as intense and constant a state as do men, especially young men. So you have a female writer imposing a female idea of sexuality onto male characters, and it rings false to me.

After reading comments, I guess I'm in the minority. I think this series is confusing, silly, all over the map and hyper-unrealistic in many respects. Has to have been written by a woman who has no understanding of the young male sex drive. I see no evidence that Jin and Bbomb have boinked even once, despite sleeping together. Stupid.

You don't think Bbomb has become a stalker/creepy/suspicious/hyper-possessive BF the minute Jin said they were dating. I'ts eerie the way he was staring at Mark. And he even got pissed at Jin because he accepted a drink from sweet Som Som. I say dump him now before there is a murder-suicide.

I never bought Jin as a playboy, ever, from the beginning. They SAY he is/was one, but I never saw it in the character at all. He's just a sweet, goofy doofus.

Why do you think they have slept together many times? I'm counting two or three times and apparently they have not had any kind of sex yet, which is extremely weird and unrealistic.

You think Jin and Bbomb communicate? Bbomb is insanely jealous of everyone who gets within ten feet of Jin, Jin is feeling that and disliking it but they haven't talked about it. I'm waiting for Bbomb to pull out an assault rifle and take out the entire school. Oh, wait a minute, that's an American thing...

Ugh. I dislike this show but will keep watching because i've come this far. Bbomb is now an evil psycho, stalker, jealous as shit boyfriend instead of a lover. He gives the stare of death to anyone that speaks to Jin, even for legitimate, school-related reasons. He got annoyed at Som Som for giving a drink to Jin. He's a weirdo now. Apparently he and Jin haven't even had sex yet, which is ridiculous.
