Apparently the sniff kisses are quite popular in Asia. They are being true to themselves, even if it's weird for the rest of us.

Had to drop. This was just painful. I mostly blame the writing and directing. The actors are okay. But it takes people 60 seconds to reply to questions, with interminable cuts to their uncomfortable reactions. The whole BDSM thing is so out of place it's ridiculous.

Also, Im really getting tired of this.. is it a trope... boys drooling over another boy, but then seeming to be clueless about the fact that they like/are attracted to that boy. You don't ogle someone like that if you're not interested. I know they're playing the "i'm straight and don't like boys, just you" card, but... Just one simple line, writers... "why am i thinking about THAT?" and your character is so much more clearly defined.

I'm not feeling this one. I love a leisurely pace, but I want things to happen. This has been the same for 4 episodes. The writer is another unsympathetic character. I don't care what happened to him or what WILL happen to him. I'll stick it out, cuz it's only 8 short eps and i'm already halfway through - but I've started watching at 1.5x

I guess the publishing industry is VERY different in Asia. I have several friends who are published authors - and none of them has ever had a manager who comes to their house and acts like a slave/personal assistant (but I've seen that in several BLs). None of them has ever had the Editor in Chief come to their house and offer to take care of personal issues, like someone trespassing. They would actually stay away and just advise them to call the police. If this is the way publishing works there, then I'm moving and starting a new career.

I LOVED this. The two leads are outstanding. Such strong actors. So likable and charismatic and natural, both of them. And so beautiful. Lee Hong Nae is a great cryer. And my second favorite innocent/embarrassed smile in the biz (after Moon Ji Yong). Liked the secondary players just as much. Felt so current in its attitude and style. It's very simple, small. Two young men facing their inner problems and subsequent relationship issues and overcoming them. The problems are all so easily solved, that the story isn't what makes this movie memorable. But the acting does. The weight of these problems on these two men, they way they suffer, was beautiful and definitely brought tears to my eyes. I doubt they are in other BL content, but I will look for their other projects just to see their performances. I'd watch this again.

Once again, Moon Ji Yong's "I'm happy, but so embarrassed at the same time" grin is the most adorable thing in any BL ever. He's going to be playing innocent naifs for a long time.

He's doing a horrible job of hiding his feelings.

A good movie. Not sure I followed EVERYTHING (did Gong Gil sleep with the emperor? why did he want to stay behind? who wrote the critique of the king?), but enjoyed the intrigue and all the risque bits of humor. Lee Joon Gi is stunning. Looks more like a woman than a lot of women. Kam Woo Sung was mesmerizing. He reminds me of another actor, but I can't place it right now. I found him riveting. Jung Jin Young handled this difficult role with mastery. A nice tale of two souls connected by something intangible and unspeakable.

Oh I know mooning, just surprised to see it in an Asian teen show. But this is a "racier" show than many.

I do feel sorry for that poor actor, who will forever be remembered as the boy who showed his butt.

I agree. I think the series was lightning in a bottle. The casting was so important, the direction key. I'll watch this remake, but I'm not expecting to feel the same.

I have always hated sentiments like this as well... there are no guarantees for hetero couples either - but you don't hear this when they bring someone home.

I delayed watching this, because I thought it was just a re-edited version of the series. Didn't realize it was a continuation. Not as sweet and endearing and hysterical as the series, but so happy to see these two together again and their relationship progressing. It was a little slow, not a lot really happened. The whole "moving away" plotline was truncated so much that I didn't really feel the effect it was having on either of the leads. And the family conflicts were resolved very easily. On one hand, glad to see the acceptance but from a story perspective could have used a bit more conflict. Missed the other characters, who did not get as much screen time as I would have liked, but happy to see them all again - supporting our lovers. Still one of my favorite series of all time and Akaso Eiji has a place in my heart for eternity.

"Be aware that the parents can sue. But worse than that you might be condemned on social media". So.... being sued by someone is BETTER than being condemned on social media? Oh the world we live in.

Not really feeling this one. I'll give it one more ep, but pretty sure this will be dropped as quickly as the shirts were for that basketball game.

I know BL's love to give characters ship names, but Burger and King? Geez, has all imagination gone out the window?

I found Ep 1 confusing. Ep 2 intriguing. Who knows what waits in Ep 3. We shall see.

I'm trying to think back on the first guy I dated and how immature I was... I wasn't even sure of my sexuality back then, so I had that noise going on in my head as well - but I'm sure I acted like a total baby. I'm cutting SH some slack. Haha

Normal - as in "the norm", standard, typical (Merriam Webster's definition, not mine). All those overweight people in the US you speak of have made love handles "standard and typical" hence normal. I didn't say healthy.

If you don't think love handles are normal, you should get out more.
