This ep was funny - and not in a good way. Who gives a crap if their work lives are hard and frustrating? That's not what the show is about. Yes, it's ridiculous for someone to say "make the black lighter" but what's the point of these scenes? None of this really impacts their personal lives. Kim's boss is an idiot. You don't leave an important client to a newbie and then NOT give them information like "he's not in Australia/he's flying in today" etc. You certainly can't blame the new guy when you don't do YOUR job, lady. And what kind of Mom says, after your first week of work... "if it's too hard you can take a break". REALLY? That will make a good impression on future employers. And I see that being top of his class with all kinds of other activities landed him the WORST job of all his friends. His kinda stupid boyfriend went on to be a "famous" landscape designer (who doesn't want to show his face??? um, you're not Sia, dude). And Mek goes back to his "pranking", sending Kim all kinds of work texts because??? But then the tension just disappears, and Mek is suddenly praising Kim. Ugh. At least we got lots of cuddles and kisses and some skin. Glad it's almost over.

Not sure if the sub was not good, or if the dialogue just randomly flitted from one topic to the next, and the guys did not answer each other directly. Felt incomplete.

Kind of random. Tries to attach socio-political meaning to a college art school film, but does not succeed. Elijah is so young looking here! Kokoy as always inspires. But not really worth the watch

I know I'm in the minority, but Shin is not that hot to me. Yes, shirtless he was quite the feast, but I find Minato cuter... he's just more my type. And 18 or not I'd still have a queasy stomach thinking I was taking advantage of a kid, even one who obviously wants me just as much or MORE than I want him. Now 21... and it's on!

Why? I'm not sure why they make these kinds of shorts. There is nothing new or fresh, barely any story. Yes, a teensy bit of a twist, but hardly worth the effort. Very amateur acting, even poor Mon who deserves so much better. Feels like a high school kid got a video camera and the cast improvised. Sad.

Cute, silly, quirky little short. Had a couple of surprises. Was NOT expecting that dildo! Haha.

And everyone gets a cold from being in the rain for 5 minutes. I watched one yesterday where a guy slid off a small rock and fell in shallow stream, so shallow that only his butt got wet, but then had to be carried home, and was unconscious for a day. PS: I do put a band-aid on a paper cut, but that's only because the cut is so annoying and every time I move my hand or grab a pen it bothers me. NOT because I'm in desperate need of medical attention.

I agree that teenage boys especially are horny and ready to go. Thats what bugs me about uni set BL where one of them acts like a kiss is major sex crimes perverted. But Minato is not a teenager. He's TRYING to be a responsible adult, and not a predator. He TRYING to withhold himself so Shin can have a more realistic high school romance and then go on to college. And from the outset, it has been clear that Minato is definitely the more immature of the two of them. Literally everything causes him to panic. It's ridiculous and kind of a character device, but it's consistent with who he has been from the outset. If I was in that situation, I too would be holding back with every fibre of my being. That being said, I don't have the will power that Minato has, and I'm sure I would have at least kissed him by now. But this all feels so on point, character wise.

WAAAAAY better!

This had potential but there were major editing issues for me, big jumps in the story or timeline, things that seemed to happen and then were referenced later as if they were still to come, lots of repeated dialogue and situations. Huge stuff happens and it all moves along at such a brisk pace that nothing truly resonates. Didn't think the love story was very well established. While they were friendly, suddenly they're shirtless and kissing. I find it funny that Lin suggests they move to Beijing so they can live their lives freely as a gay couple. Really? This COULD have been great, but somewhere in the scripting and editing it fell apart. And of course... the tragedy. I mean, I knew it was coming. It's foreshadowed and this is a Chinese production, so two gay men can't live happily ever after, but definitely puts a damper on my rating. Won't watch again, no matter how oddly erotic spitting wine on someone's back may be!

If a stranger flicked water on me on purpose in a public men's room, I would not take it lightly. It's incredibly rude. Sure, it's not assault, but WTF? Who does something like that? You let strangers do this to you and laugh it off?

I don't believe it was good manners, because he didn't show good manners previously. Good manners are NOT flicking someone with water, and when their wee is exposed, saying, "Um... zip up!", rather than mocking them. (And yes most people would mock him... but that's still not good manners). Suddenly the good manners appear when it's advantageous to him. X is definitely being an asshole. And Q is definitely over-reacting. Hence my 0for2 in the characterization department.

I don't know what they're serving at Craft Services in Thailand, but why would they have anything that causes diarrhea on the menu? And since when does diarrhea require a trip to the hospital. Ugh.

First ep was just okay for me. I'm beginning to hate the enemy to lovers trope because so often they make one guy act like a total a** hole. Splashing water on him, mocking his "size", clearly pretending he's nice while manipulating the mom & uncle. I know he's doing it all to get closer to the boy, but I prefer the "you get more flies with honey than vinegar" approach. It also makes it harder for me to believe the turn-around when they become nice guys and the lead falls in love with them. Also, didn't car e for our lead being so clueless. The two most famous and popular kids in his school (with posters everywhere) and he's never seen or heard of them before? Is he living under a rock? Especially when your two best friends clearly know them... like they've never mentioned them before? And who in their right mind would agree to a challenge as arbitrary as "if you get the MOST POPULAR girl in school to choose you..." I mean, the chances of this are so small you'd have to be an idiot to agree. Well, I guess that sounds right. Q is an idiot. So 0 for 2 on the characterizations. The actors are clearly new-ish and kinda amateur. The whole thing feels a bit retro to me. I did like the Frank/Mind meet. I like a nice hetero couple in the mix. I'll give this another ep or 2 but not holding my breath that it will improve much.

Yes, it should have been a spoiler, but... Watch 5 minutes and you'll figure it all out yourself, like I did. Second, how does knowing the concept spoil the series? It's like saying, no need to watch Bad Buddy if you know they were childhood friends turned enemies turned lovers.

Hmm. I'll have to rewatch the special ep. Didn't notice that.

So many things in this episode annoyed me. As everyone says, no calls or texts for a year? Then the lamest examples of not just saying, "Want to grab a coffee later?" Several DAYS go by and they haven't even talked? No coffee breaks or lunches or dinners available for either of them? I mean, he walked into the office one morning and by the time he left ONE meeting, everyone from the office had gone home? Invite him to your home, but don't talk the entire time you're walking there? Then the stupid shrine and calendar and of course he can't say to his mentee, "I'll come to your place to see the stupid iguana tomorrow, I'm busy right now. " Thank god there's only one ep left. This has gone downhill and that hill wasn' t very tall to begin with.

Maybe. But as I stated, without strong characters they aren't drawing me into the narrative, be it documentary, diary or "life". I'd be happy to go along on any of those rides if there were compelling characters to go along with.

Me too! I was so excited reading all the glowing comments and then I thought, do I have a brain injury?

Not bad, not great. No real reason for this. Two guys meet, help mend their heartbreak with beers and anonymous sex. Felt like a school project, trying to infuse insight with some cliche quotes.
