That kinda the point? We were served with actor facade that they show to the world and glimpses into their private…
An interesting idea, but audiences engage with character. If you can't get that across for one single character in an hour, then you've lost your audience (at least this audience). I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Perhaps I'm watching a different series than everyone else, but that first episode was CRAP. I learned ZERO about any character, except one guy is a germaphobe. I guess it's an indictment of the industry and that's fine, but 99% of the dialogue was throw away lines that did not reveal any character motivation at all. It's beautifully shot, some gorgeous boys, some hot kissing and skin but I can't sit through 20 episodes of this. DROPPED.

This sudden shift in Yanase was weird. I guess Benji really played with his mind, but calling himself useless and untalented seems way out of character and entirely untrue. If he's such a lousy CG artist (as Benji claims), then why is Benji so set on hiring him away? And why are there a hundred articles written about his genius?

Toshiki seems so llimited in his acting abilities, or he's been asked to play this character as one-note. I don't find him or the character appealing at all. Glad there's only 2 short episodes left.

I'm confused. Talay's character doesn't make sense to me. One minute he's obsessed with finding Tul, the next he's complacent and saying, "I'm fine living here and maybe one day I'll find my portkey." Literally one scene later. Also, he was obviously gay in his real world, but when a guy offers him a bit of food or pretends to kiss him on the cheek, he gets all freaked out. Even AFTER he says, "If you're my portkey I'll be okay with it." You'll be OKAY with it? Why wouldn't you freaking jump for joy no matter who the portkey is? You've found your way back to your real life. I wouldn't care if my portkey was Donald Trump or Rasputin. If you're gonna get me back to my real life, then I'm gonna stick with you. I also don't like how they don't even TRY to pretend they are their alternate role. I dated THAT girl? Like your friends wouldn't be suspicious if you didn't remember a girl you had "stolen" and dated? And the rules of finding this portkey and everything about getting back to your real life just seem so arbitrary and loose. First rule of fantasy screenwriting... know the rules. Here they just want to do whatever will service the BL plot (which they're not doing very well). Unfortunately for me, I like all the actors, so I'll stick with a bit more, but unless things really start making sense, I'm gonna drop it.

Ridiculous and over the top and so much fun. I could not take his extreme reactions in a full length series but for these two eps it was hilarious. But I would actually love a full length series where he paired couples each week and we got to see the differences between real life and his imagined fantasies, just without the full body convulsions every time haha. A very fun watch that should delight BL fans even though it not a traditional BL. Still worth the watch and a possible rewatch.

Should have stopped at Episode 0. This is really 2 entirely different series that shouldn't even be called the same. Characters don't act the same, looks totally different. Writing is much worse. DROPPED.

I could *somewhat* understand Kim's reaction if he found Mek and Pam having an intimate dinner, but his friggin'…
So true. He obviously cares for Kim, so the reaction to Pam's appearance was way out of proportion. I remember in high school my girlfriend broke up with me because I liked hanging out with my friends too much. So I guess immature people DO have immature reactions and make immature decisions, but the writers could do better than this.

I only stayed for this one because the eps were so short. but it felt very high school arts project to me. The acting was not good. I know it's hard in isolation, but other series have shown you can get past that. The writing was not very strong. I knew Boss was hiding something very early and it just made me dislike him. He was clingy and needy and manipulative, didn't respect Tono's boundaries or morals. It was all uncomfortable. I never got the impresson these two were in love at all. I was sure the reveal was going to be something more extreme, but I guess they couldn't get a happy ending unless it was as simple as acne. I'm kinda mad at myself for not dropping. Definitely won't watch again.

the whole drama that is coming doesn't make much sense. i would rather have them being lovey-dovey for more 4…
I agree. The only part I've liked so far was when they were enjoying their relationship.

Ep 4 was so sweet. Akira rooting for Shin got me teary. Asuka has me so curious. I can't figure out his motivation. And the preview for next week really complicates things. Sensei is back, the girl is back, a boy is back... Can't wait.

This was always kinda mediocre and now I'm just bored. I get so confused with the whole "we are not official" thing. They've been dating for a couple of weeks and seemingly have slept together, but they're not official? And they've never said "I like you"? Isn't it implied when you start dating someone that you like them? Now with all the ex lovers coming into play and Mek's freak out at the confession, I think I may be done with this one. Maybe I'll binge when the series is finished and I can watch at 2x.

I'm only halfway through the first episode and I already feel like I've watched 4 hours. It's so slow. A huge Fluke fan, and I have liked Ohm in the past, but he's lifeless here. Comatose. They've taken the zombie bit too literally. I may come back and binge a few at 2x but for now I'm gonna drop.

This is interesting so far. A bit slow paced. Some of the forced calls/dates are awkward, seemingly just for the sake of making "interesting" tv. None of them seem comfortable with themselves, let alone others. Too many awkward silences amongst them all. It's as if no one has ever been in a social situation before. I know part of that is the culture, and part of it is being forced to live with a bunch of strangers specifically with the aim of finding love, but still they should be able to hold conversations. And not every conversation needs to be "who else do you like in the house". I'd NEVER ask that question. First, none of my business. Second, I don't want to know if it's not me or if it's the guy that I like. That's just begging for unnecessary drama. All of them are cute. But I haven't gotten enough of their individual personalities to know any of them, or who fits with whom, or whom I would pick. I like the drag performer. He's my type physically. He seems relaxed, but still a bit shy. But Eun Chan is such a lost puppy that I have a big crush on him as well.

A sweet simple low budget coming of age/coming out story. Not much to distinguish it from the pack, except maybe the rural setting. Not the best dialogue either. A bit repetitive and lacking real substance and layers The boys are obviously comfortable together after so many series, but Oak will never be a fav of mine, even though he has improved since his first few outings. I won't rewatch, but it's worth a viewing if you need a quick simple BL fix.

Mon continues to impress. Why can't he get a big budget production or a full length series?

3 eps in and I'm enjoying it, mostly for Akira. Great facial expressions that convey so much of the complicated situation he is in. I don't care about age gap. I've always dated guys younger than me, and my current BF is 10 years younger. Of course, he's not 18. I understand why people are concerned about that. In the past I did date some very young guys, but it never lasted because they just didn't have the life experience or maturity but Shin seems mature and seems to know what he wants, and Akira is trying his best to hold him off. Love the small town feel, shopkeepers all knowing each other. Looking forward to seeing how this one plays out.

I'm bored. The pacing is a bit slow for me, especially for a sci fi mystery. I find the conversations lacking energy and while the MC are fine, I just want to see OhmNanon more. Not sure I will stick this one out, but I'll give it another episode or 2.

This series had its pros and cons, but one thing I can say is that all BL couples should watch this to learn how to kiss. There is a LOT of kissing here. Prolonged kissing. And these guys make it look REAL. I mean, it's obviously staged, film kissing, and there's no tongue or anything, but boy it made those scenes very hot. And Hao has the most intense, "I can barely control myself" look in his eyes during those sexy scenes. Very few do that better, If I watch again, I'll probably skip everything except the MC (and Tse Shou's Dad, who is fantastic - and I may have a bit of a Daddy crush on him). All in all, a decent series that has a unique setting, some deeper themes and the best kisses in BL.
