If Episode 7 starts out with Sang Ha in peril (as I expect it will) then I'll be immediately expecting a happy ending.
Why? Because so far in the series the two guys haven't become a couple, and the whole point of 'Mr. Heart' is that these two open up to one another and fall in love.
If they'd already become a couple by now then I'd be more fearful over a sad ending like in MODC.

After the race in Episode 2 he became interested in the after-party only when he learned that the 'juniors' had made the arrangements, then immediately after he arrived he was looking for Sang Ha to be anywhere in the room. When he learned that Sang Ha would not be attending at all he immediately left. Then in the next shot we see him standing outside of Sang Ha's door.
There are many dramas -- Korean and otherwise -- that feature truly apathetic male leads. For me what makes 'Mr. Heart' interesting is how deftly the writing makes Jin Won seem irritable and indifferent on the outside while showing that he's not really indifferent at all, using his irritability as a defense against deeper feelings that he's not ready to acknowledge.
I do agree with you on the preference to have things 'shown' to the audience instead of 'told', and I give them credit for doing that at least with the flashback to high school. But like you say, there's just not enough time in the series to do that for every dramatic detail.
In terms of cliches I think the one I'm expecting the most here is that once Jin Won realizes how much peril Sang Ha is in, he'll quickly come around to acknowledging his feelings. Again, though, the short playing time for the series might necessitate taking such a blatant shortcut.
MaiWan are such a cute couple. Bickering like they're married, Mai taking charge in the bedroom but Wan calling the shots when they're out in public.
Their pairing is a nice contrast to OngsahNorth, where it's more about the emotional bond.
But I hope that MaiWan will also show more affection toward each other, especially Wan as he deals with Mai. I think Mai would treat Wan very tenderly if he thought it would be reciprocated.
I wish more people would try and watch this series. Don't judge it just because "it's another engineering & doctor…
I'm with you - including the opinion on Pawin's acting. When he stepped away from the table after Itt's gf showed up, I could feel the pain he was going through along with the rush of relief that he'd been interrupted before he got to confess.
It would have been too soon for him to express his feelings anyway. Itt is an unsettling character, very hard to read.
Really great! It's not fair to classify it just as "Filipino BL" because this feels like a production that will go beyond that. Excellent production values, handsome and believable actors, interesting story. The only thing that I didn't like was Ken's mom. The scene of her scolding him was pitched too high and went on for too long. As a character she wasn't so impressive either, thinking that her son should have let a bully continue picking on Shake and not break up the fight.
Such a great first episode! You can see how much money GMMTV put into this, and rightfully so. The production values are right up there befitting the superb cast.
I really hope that Earth and Stud get together by the end. Since Stud is such a tomcat it would require some deft writing to make it believable, but one of my most unforgettable moments in all of Thai drama is the scene in Season 1 where Stud pleads for the return of Earth's friendship. The bond between them is beyond mere friendship -- they just don't realize it yet.
I hope that Safe does make a play for Boyo, even though such a thing would start due to Bew's scheming. It would be fun to see him think he's going to play her, only to realize that he actually does have feelings for her. And Good could use a little dose of jealousy.

Yes, if sexual expression of love bothers you then this is the drama for you. These guys don't even hold hands or cuddle, and sleep in the same bed with five feet between them and backs turned.

'My Huckleberry Friends' is Steven in his 'naturalistic' acting mode, so it is a good follow-up to 'Go Ahead'.
I had a hard time watching him in 'Skate Into Love' because his character was really just another ML in another mainstream drama. You could have switched him out for another actor and nothing would have suffered, whereas with 'Go Ahead' and 'Huckleberry Friends', nobody could play those parts except Steven.
And by damn, for the main couple in 'Huckleberry Friends' the ending is so unabashedly happy that you just want to jump for joy.
I haven't dropped by in a while. By now I was hoping the score would at least be back to 9.2 but I'm glad to see it's still the best comment page for sharing unabashed joy over a series.
I appreciate how ambitious it's being despite the awkward moments. The series is biting off a lot by making it the story of a boy band -- with that comes raised expectations on the quality of the songs, singing, and choreography, especially if the premise turns out to be that they hit it big and become superstars.
So, the series might benefit from showing less of the actual performances by having them occur off-camera, allowing it to avoid that all-but-hopeless prospect of making all of that seem authentic. After all, we're here mainly to see the way the guys interact when they're not on stage. With a cast of hunks with different personalities the possibilities are endless.

Getting two "brothers" to kiss on screen by using a clever plot device was awful.
