Liu Jun of the venomous snakes and Hong Xiu of the cats. Despite his cold blooded nature, he felt protective (and more) of the cuddly furry lady who was actually not an ordinary maid, but had chosen to work in the palace just to stay near him !
Ah this poster also shows a cute little white wolf at the lower right hand corner... It does look almost foxy too. The Beast attributes of the characters are also pleasantly drawn in : snake, tails, hedgehog, although perhaps the cat ears did not need to be that big since they were concealed in the funny buns that Hongxiu sported on her head. I had to zoom in several times to find the chameleon on the shoulder of Haitang and the weasel on the shoulder of HuDie. I was expecting Jing Muhan to have a pair of bulky antlers, but I think he must have shed them and just toys with one to the left, at the table.
Cute couple too, and the hedgehog on the shoulder + the tail of his farting lady also made me stop to look more closely at the poster. Commander Bai Ke of Beast City and Deputy Commander Hu Die who always quarreled with him but also couldn't bear separation.
Yes, and it is sweet to read about the yuanbao rallying the keluli ! Fandom harmonies are so much more wholesome…
Extensive reading of fan pages ... There is so much there. I think it was straight from horse's mouth. I suppose I could hunt up the reference again, but it was in a flood of weibo or such from Gramarie too, I should probably have linked reference, and now it would take time to hunt it back + I am lazy. He is discreet about his family, so maybe I should have left my initial cautious wording "possible siblings" instead of correcting and not adding the source (it is among the mega links at the bottom of page, I believe). 2 sisters may sound a little surprising, but not that much. I know several families who had 2-3 children in those years... Esp. when there were twins : I don't know if those sisters are, could be :) But I'm not sure I will be in the mood again to dig hard there, bc lots of stuff is coming up in my life now, so I may not have enough leisure time. Nor is it likely that I will have time to up and go ask for interview to check and dig for more ! I like research but I am still very lazy so I probably won't write and publish a book about CZY, as interesting as he is. Or will I? Too much work !
the little details that make HL special "And this brings me back to this very small gesture of lusi making sure…
Yes, and it is sweet to read about the yuanbao rallying the keluli ! Fandom harmonies are so much more wholesome than fan wars. Wishing both actor and actress continued success and friendship and us audience more delight in watching their future projects. For CZY, I have committed a piece here, with presentation of past and future work and links to relevant pages. https://mydramalist.com/discussions/lang-jun-bu-ru-yi/109975-actor-profile-of-chen-zheyuan-tpatw-july-august-2023 If you have time for it, have fun !
after a while of watching I think she just sounds like that
Your list only mentions Oh! My Emperor! That's ages ago, in c drama land... But it is true that ZLS said she changed her voice to express the childishness of the 17 year old character before she gets more mature after starting internship . Until then, Sang Zhi is much like the protected child she was, holing up in her bed with her cuddly toys or studying dutifully while having secret fantasies. If the adolescent period is not your cup of tea, but you still are into romance, you could start at episode 8 or 7, go back later if needed. Don't overlook the end "cuts" that are important and also a game to play, finding out where they fit in the episodes.
If you still don't like ZLS but tolerate CZY, and since you seem to like fantasy and xianxia you could try watching Chen Zheyuan's The Princess and the Werewolf. It is a nice take on the old tale of the Beauty and the Beast, starts very funnily. Still ongoing, but reaching end episodes. Free to watch until ep14 on Youku original platform, or you can try Viki or Youku English channel on Youtube, or "kiss and cool".
The episode guide is maybe in need of commenters : up till now, only a few have rated episodes. I admit I am just among the anonymous raters, because I did not have enough time for much episode comments myself. Busy re-watching parts or total of other CZY stuff and adding to the Profile in Discussion, in addition to staying on with TPATHW + busy with life stuff, unrelated to drama or family.
But we shall wish that is temporary, until it morphs into happy end. 😅
