I just found out that both CZY and ZLS are reliable archers, I watched the two of them last night at an archery…
That video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrPWsNQFAIs :) Sometime in 2019 for a summer sports event sponsored by iQiyi. ZLS also did a pretty gymnastic number with a ball.
On the way of my reworking the Discussion (checking and adding to infos, exploring how to brush up aesthetics with the tools provided, add pictures etc,) I spotted a drawing in episode 2 (the fox drinking "pure milk" out of the bottle that will serve to store Zhi's star-folded secret thoughts). It was signed Rosy !!! ZLS really went all out in this drama! For exact spot in the episode, check my entry for Ep2 in Episode guide section (which is thumbnailed between Details and Cast & Crew, above on this page). Unfortunately, I could not transfer that cute picture into the Discussion. In part, because I was not focusing on ZLS only, whom I refer to with links to an article, another specialized discussion, and some YT videos.
The time when she was in high school Young sang zhi have big smart phone and zhou lusi have old iphone. It doesn't…
The frog design phone protection was cute. But I did not look more closely to see what phones Sang Zhi could have used/was using in the 8 years between her 14 and 22nd theoretical birthdays. Thinking. When Sang Zhi was smaller, the phone might have looked bigger in smaller hands? Nor have I checked what phone actress Zhao Lusi favors in real life. ZLS looks like she is very much following fashion, so would probably own several phones and use them according to her mood? I used to have three phones myself... esp. since I was traveling a lot, as befits aliens from deep space roaming the cosmos. Also for duplicate security of data, pictures, phone directory... The iPhone was not my preferred handheld, still is not. But I will not go advertising the strengths and weaknesses of my phones and computers park, lol There are good websites for such comparisons. lol
He's got a very long series of travel vlogs. I watched a few of them (the ones about his alma mater and visiting dangerous places around LA, talking to homeless people... ) He's got a social conscience. He looked very calm, albeit empathetic. As for the YT short, that's a take for or from the first Yihe airport episode? Real emotional tears or caused by onion cutting, we won't know. Of course, tears like laughter can be contagious. Yet, he was supposed to drive her back, so he would have needed to regain his calm, as elder and wiser brother. The teddy bear coat in which Sang Zhi was wrapped looked very cuddly. :)
barrage, not baggage 😂 It's something unique to Chinese social media and some Chinese platforms. I saw that a lot on Bilibili. Sometimes it gets so heated up that the lines of simultaneous comments totally fill the screen, so you can't see what it was about !!!
Hmmm In any context and culture, when you call a close one by their full name instead of first name or pet name,…
You are welcome! Still enjoying the drama? I was on umpteenth rewatch, tracking down the Chinese characters for the names of secondary characters, to add them in the post about character names in my MDL Discussion which you might like reading: https://mydramalist.com/discussions/hidden-love/109103-shooting-locations-and-dates-misc-other-links (I have written all I wanted to write in that Discussion, but if others have more to add, they can feel free to do so, or they can say what they liked there).

Umm did you need to flood this conversation with that question several times ? You know; you can delete the repeats,…
Easy : there's a three dot vertical button under messages after "heart" icon "reply" and "gift" icons which shows "share", "edit", "delete". You just select what you want to do with the message and use it. It can delete what is moot or unnecessarily repetitious. Even Discussion items that are redundant because already covered and pinned.
Hmmm In any context and culture, when you call a close one by their full name instead of first name or pet name,…
No you got it wrong, calling him by his entire name is not intimate at all but like a teacher doing role call ! It is a show of irritation. As if you called your life partner MR DUAN (Jiaxu) while frowning. He would ask what was wrong... Xuge is fine, Xu'er also, A Xu is possible mostly in the south of China, Lao Xu is possible too something like "my (dear) old man Tom". Best for a woman is to address her boyfriend using an endearing form like laogong (husband, lover) or qin'aide (darling, honey). Gege is out, because of the new contamination by BL, so suspect. Other words that you might learn in textbooks have shifted meaning, so it is not always safe to address a young Miss as Xiaojie (it can be understood as "prostitute"!) or a comrade as Tongzhi (go to Wikipedia to find the already long debate about how it was reappropriated by the LGBTQ+ crowd, in a country where everybody is not broad minded about the gender debate). Tongzhi is still used behind closed doors in CPC reunions by the "members of the club", but they will not address comrades outside freely by that word any longer. Like for xiansheng (Mr) or taitai (Mrs) or xiaojie (Miss), they'd now prefer for adults a more neutral address such as laoshi (teacher) even if no one is related to education. The forms of address are numerous in Chinese, especially among family members, so it takes time to learn it all if not born in the culture. And some people still use "courtesy names", although they tend to disappear now, and are reserved for distinguished families respected members. If you like to watch dramas, I suggest you watch carefully the drama "Forever and Ever" where this and the laoshi use is mentioned and used naturally. Hope this helped.

You also got delayed on Destined... I am also having trouble getting back to,the heavier or longer ones declared or not on my list. I even strayed into following CZY into his Princess and the Werewolf, just because it is a no brainer, fun fluff one, unpretentious, and I used to be an amateur folklorist, so I added it to the Wikipedia entry about Beauty and the Beast lol.
Check below or above, and please erase the unnecessary repetition of your question.
But, yes, I do have a "say in it" and a right to express my opinion also about this. So, there, even if I am not the police nor a teacher of etiquette to the very young. lol
FYI. I just had a look at your very short list and rather approve of your taste there, so will let your non-apology for the 6 presumptuous repeated demands, no-thanks for answers, and rude reply to me slide. - and I am still going to wish you a continued happy drama watching. Case closed AFAIC NRN (am signing off to go elsewhere in deep drama space, lol)

sorry b3b3k that heart reaction was mine since AD did not bother to thank you. You are very dedicated to help out the new crowd, so I thank you also for that! 🥰
He was celebrating his 24th. He stated before that he hoped she could "help him get married before he turned 27":…
Yes, I hope the translation will not be a problem for new audience.... The fact is that the guys may have been reminded of the book where indeed there is a 7 years difference. In the drama, scriptwriters decided to reduce it to 5, so as not to start the babyhood too early.
In real life crushes can happen any time, according to research, between 5 and 30+ (or later?), the length of pre adolescent crushes is generally very short lived. Adolescent ones are another matter but so frowned upon by teachers, parents, ... that the crush is usuallly "crushed" as quickly as possible before it develops into obsession. Crushes are still not really accepted before marriageable age, so students have to be careful, even though by then it is seen as "quite normal" behavior. In this drama, I think we saw everything from puppy love and yearning to get a nicer big brother, to deep crush crushed, and adult crush turning into real love. Plus a case of obsession no crush related. Nice.
I believe her dream to get into college in the city where the ML lives.
Yes. Btw. For some of those questions you could check the pinned Discussion items. Bizarrely the titles don't show up in the box below cast and photos, but if you click on New Topic, it will lead you to the list of Discussions. In "Shooting locations and dates, misc", the last post is a survey and directory of the other discussions, with dates started, author and topic + direct link. And there's a post about how to make the stars and what was on the ones in Hidden Love too. In the hope that will be helpful to you too.
Only talk about yourself. I loved it. There are many people who like simple love story rather than dark, depressing,…
Lol I loved One and Only .... adored The Forbidden Flower starring the father of all tropes ex "Daoming SI" actor (beautifully preserved and seductive Jerry Yan Chengxu), enthused about Road Home despite the terror attack putting ML played by Jing Boran almost in a coma in that one, liked enough Luo Zheng's latest tropes festival to rise to defend it against guys who wanted to drag it down to 1 after watching less than an episode (pleased to see it featured at least two weeks among the 10 most viewed recently). Clichés galore and ad-fest can be so hilarious in c-dramas !
But I still loved LLTG and HL enough to rave about those. To the tune of 10 of course. Even had me contribute quite a bit here, more perhaps than I even did for TFF, RH, ADWTF, TYM which are the ones I most enjoyed recently. So cute fluff or dark gritty dramatic like TTEOTM, WRTW, LBFAD, TSL, LO2O, AOL, YAMG, FIYS, PYHOMS ... even slice-of-life, military, or "ace" esports like The King's Avatar are all on my menus when they are good, and Hidden Love definitely is emphatically top excellent in its genre, as far as I am concerned.
ZLS and CZY dub themselves when needed in this drama. Dubbing can happen for a variety of reasons: noise on set…
It is not usually mentioned on the MDL page when a C-drama is dubbed. You need to check Baidu in Chinese to find the dubbers names.
If you want to enjoy a drama, it does not really matter that c-dramas are dubbed or not, since it is not like dubbing in a foreign language. It will not change anything for you if you are not a mandarin speaker anyway. If you just want to enjoy the actor's real voice, I suggest you listen to the interviews or watch BTS. Myself, I also like to hear them sing.
For instance, Vin Zhang Binbin has a deep voice to-die-for, and there, it did irk me that he is was dubbed in "Song of The Moon" unlike in most of his other screen appearances. So Ok, he is from the Jiangsu where people pronounce some words differently from putonghua: mostly trouble with the northern -er endings, so they'd never use words like "nà'er" (there) but say nàlǐ instead, and use a typical hissing ss sound for "sh". You can spot it in these very nice songs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrbwZyxMyGg and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYDYamhVwlM where he gets "sssi" instead of "shi" "sssun" instead of "shun". (Not that it bothers me, since I am used to that regional pronunciation, having lived in + have family both in the Jiangnan, close to his Wuxi birthplace, and in Beijing.) But despite the dubbing of the drama, and since I also like 2Bin's handsome appearance, I still stayed on for a while although I left SOTM on hold at ep.14 because other dramas and other stuff came in the way. I almost watched AROTLF (where he was not dubbed) only bc of him...
Here is a cute BTS of 2Bin preparing to record the theme song of "Here We Meet Again" with Janice Wu Qian : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGUZPk8ulnA Btw 2Bin is not dubbed in that drama, and HWMA is rather sweet, although a bit too long; ep 20 shows him as a master kisser, so if you watched that, I'm sure you've liked it 😍 if not, try and stay on or just sample ep20 if you are okay with missing everything that led to there. And next, have fun with his fan meeting snippet about the kisses, here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWkBtP0cYg8 (the whole fan meeting was interesting to me and can also be found on YT. 2Bin was taught then how to pronounce a few phrases in Sichuan mandarin for the occasion, and used one in the snippet about the kisses ! ).
If CZY was as gifted a singer as 2Bin, YY, XZ, RJL, Z.Tao or Xu Weizhou, I'd write about it too here, but if you like you can check the short profile I wrote about CZY in my https://mydramalist.com/discussions/hidden-love/109103-shooting-locations-and-dates-misc-other-links. It is less CZY's voice than his looks, moves (hands esp) and his talent, humor, and kind behavior with other cast and crew in dramas and shows, that drew my attention and made me like that young actor.
