I was quoting the comment before mine, and understood that "brother" there was in the spirit as a sort of sworn brotherhood : very close friend. No, never thought they could be actual siblings. Although now, I am beginning to waver : could he be? I need to watch on 🤣
You are in the beginning of the story : look forward to the twists to come ! 🤣
Lets also add then that the drama is rather in black humor over-the-top mode if one sits back and analyze scenes. Of course I am enjoying that way. This is not a show to look for life lessons anyway 🤣 As for hot kisses, there was a neat one. Quite satisfactorily executed. That made me add Luo Zheng to my long list of actors to remember !
Ah yes, 17 and 18 are out : rushing to watch them 🤣
Oh we did get another variation on "interrupted kiss" with the "mounted on springs" QJ mom erupting to stop them imitating the sweet show they were watching - btw, anyone knows which one that was ?
Can you? I am not so skilled at those technicalities... and not sure this is cup of tea enough for the merry LLTG watchers who did lovable funny ones. I'd sure enjoy an FMV too here !
Saying that the brother is worthless?! Okay, what kind of father is this?! Accepting the son who took care of…
Drama... The dad is an idiot. Of the "entitled" sort. We need antagonists of that sort too so the show can get it all in. Since it is C-drama we won't see the worst anyway: censorship protects the sensitive minds and eyes of audiences.
The scariest villains are the one who pretend to be all nice and gentlemen aka Su Juan. Also I feel like FL has…
Looking up your reference : ah, I have not watched any dramas featuring Su Qian Wei (her?) Although I did look to watching someday Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils and Fight Breaks Sphere. Do you recommend any ? As for Su Juan, his sly smile gave him out too early... Not hiding well enough as the worst of villainous characters - but yes I agree he is the antagonist here, lol
I am so confused at the way it started and where it is now.... I think they could have presented this in a better…
I felt tepid about the drama in the first episodes until I realized it is an exercise in black humor, and was hooked, started counting tropes, together with some others who have even come to love that show. Then it became quite fun. Anyway, contrary to some here perhaps, I don't watch dramas for moral guidance nor to watch how well kissers perform (there's a rather well done one in this drama, btw ; perhaps more to come, although I would not place bets as the whole thing is not easily predictable, which is rather on the commendable side). Be aware that there are some who feel that it is their God-given duty to scare off others, and repeating they are Entitled to examine Right and Wrong in this... I am not in that pack of monkeys. Enjoying this Skip A Beat, tongue-in-cheek and laughing at the most outrageous trope twisting occurrences. Perhaps it is a masterpiece. Although I doubt Luo Zheng will be in the category of Jerry Yan of MG 2001 - or that of Wang Hedi who reprized the sulfurous role of Daoming Si in the PRC version of 2018. (These were part of quite an interesting cultural phenomenon that I had to explore the variations of, starting from the Japanese original, to better look at what Asian and esp C-dramas draw on). Skip A Beat is not the only show I watch, but one of those that I am not tired watching. I am not dropping it, warts and all. Anyway, it is only 20 episodes long.
this ML could easily be the WORST ML OF ALL TIMES 😂 I don't want our fl to end up with him at all 😂 this…
Hey hey hey, are you really taking this show so seriously that you feel it is your duty to attack ME personally because I enjoy it and stated the reasons why there are reasons to not be hasty in condemnations ? Well as it happens I am also ENTITLED to my own opinions and to share the reasons why I enjoy the show. Not that I am in any way pretending it is a model for behavior to anybody. It is a show, and can be enjoyed by many who don't look for lessons in life in it. And your post shows exactly that you are the opinionated one who is pretending to TEACH. You can't deny you wrote "you shouldn't" eh? You keep repeating about your "entitlement" and use it to go all ayatullah like, attacking me for writing a bland opinion that you had not yet seen enough, when you wrote your reaction, to start putting out condemnations. That you relish scaring others off and believe in self-congratulatory fashion that you are in the right because of you belong to an imagined "majority" just shows what sort of person you are.
I do wonder why you still are watching if you hate the show that much. It is not on your Dropped list (nor on your Currently watching one), so I think you are just a troll who belongs to some group (or view yourself as a "one umm woman WE THE RIGHTEOUS" group) out to uproot what does not fit your moral compass in shows and other expression, perhaps). One thing I am sure about is that you certainly do NOT love c-dramas, contrary to what is written on your personal page.
Go on ranting then if you are so free to do so : "the dogs howl and the caravan travels on" or as the Chinese poem goes : "... the monkeys ceaselessly howled -- Ten thousand mountain small boats already have sailed on! ".

Gaaah why am I even answering you ? Such a waste of time.
I am ashamed for all the people around her going "she'e young and immature you should forgive her". She pushed…
Why would you be ashamed for these other people? The main culprit is having nightmares from guilt : nice. The Bai mom is like any mom who often try to find alleviating reasons for their offender children. And I don't think the Bai Yun pushed Qiao Jing down the stairs with intent to kill : she pushed in a fit of jealousy caused by others venomous info, and QJ fell on the platform. We know from earlier that QJ was in an at-risk group that should be very careful when pregnant : walking up the stairs was strenuous enough to compound risk and cause the miscarriage. So the whole thing was indeed an accident. Besides, QJ ought to blame herself for having decided to walk up to that platform when she well knew it was fishy to suddenly be asked to see wheelchair and canes using Mr Gu senior in such a place. But she is FL, and so she must be a victim, "blameless" and high and mighty to condemn others for having been hurt, before seeking where she herself could be at fault in not protecting what she should have. Anyway, this is just a show, so we shouldn't apply too much of moral compass to it. As another commenter justly said, this is "tropes galore" and the fun is in counting them and admiring the new twists on those tropes that have been found to keep it going lol. Wishing you continued enjoyment !
