Starting on this quick short short drama from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6A1RKOUmHc So far, looks good. QingChen is looking for a Xiyun ?!!! I was rewatching LFBAD a few minutes ago: coincidence ? But it looks like only 3 episodes are posted as yet, on YT.
your wish was granted : there are now subtitles for all 36 episodes, when I checked. Cannot vouch for that they are any better than the ones we found at first in eps 1-6.
@Levitate14 and @CloudA ,you have my respect!🫡❤️🥰 I love all your sensible comments here in LTTG!🤗❤️
Hi CloudA! I started Hu Tong with quite some expectations but was so disppointed about the incredibly bad subtitling which anyway stops abruptly at the end of ep6. Since it is more difficult for me to do without them, although I could read the Chinese subtitles and just listen, I've put it on hold with some disappointment. Did you watch it completely and if so, what do you think, how did you like it? To me the first episodes are very in line with the old 1940-1950s Chinese movies I watched in the past, and the documents and biographies I read that are tied to the period. In my mind, there are also echoes of the epic Red Detachment of Women (I love the ballet version) and similar red heroines stories : poor girl and work to get free of mobsters and men who enslave servants and concubines... ZlS's leaps and kicks were spectacular. The street food had me reminded of lao BJ dishes that I once had in those neighborhoods, although I hung out more in Haidian near Qinghua, Dongcheng near Beixinqiao, or Houhai, and only on occasion roamed down to Tianqiao and further south in their old hutongs. There was little snow in the winter, but the freezing temperatures had so many enjoy skating and sliding on the lakes, where swimmers also still exercised even after the heat of summers passed. The parks and temples were packed full for festivals, otherwise, mostly the playground of older people taking their caged birds along to get fresh air, or to play chess, sing, do water calligraphy... I joined the local community center in my neighborhood for free classes in Chinese landscape and flower scroll painting and qigong practice. Up till now, only in the movie Sunflower did I see a really good depiction of Beijing common hutong and siheyuan life style.
yes ; that's puzzling with the 2 eps release every time, Friday, Saturday, Sunday indication on iQiyi. Maybe there's a mistake or iQiyi plans to release a different timetable later ? Otherwise, we're in until Oct16 or 21 if my computing is correct. Today Monday, there was no new episode release.
There are two compilations of full S1 and S2 episodes included in the playlist
可惜 I am busy with other things so I have little time for drama watching unfortunately, but I will keep the Hu Tong in mind for whenever 😉
