Sure, we can all have differing opinions! I’m sure you’re not the only one who love the repetitive conversations. In fact I think my opinion is the the minority here but I just wanted to share them. I get your point but you can do that in real life coz I mean you guys(them) have a whole lifetime together but this is a drama 🤣 We only have that many eps. The plot started fast and there’s no wasted scenes so following that pace, I expected the same yesterday. Abt NYZ, I believe I never said he’s a good guy. I said he’s the best man a woman can have. What he repeatedly said(abt him not being a good guy with what he’s done) wasn’t lost on me.

This brings me to another thought. I wonder why Denghui don’t tell the emperor about Ruyi after the killing of the first prince. He only hinted and the emperor didn’t get it. Then what’s stopping him from telling the emperor that Renxin is back and she’s the one who killed the prince? Did I miss something?

Ditto! Maybe we’re having too high an expectation? I dunno but 🤔 I’m also not a romance genre lover but I did truly enjoy all the romance and talks between our main CP. I still do but I want them to move forward to the stage where Ruyi is confident and reassured again, and show us more of her intelligence. I don’t believe that Ruyi can be the best assassin in the kingdom without being extremely smart as well.

I do get all the points you mentioned and I agree with them. To me though, NYZ is the best man a woman can find. I’m just getting lowkey impatient with the repetition of Ruyi being sad and down, then NYZ reassures her and gives her solutions 🤣 I mean I’m absolutely aware what this drama is about but this drama also spoiled me with its fast and badass plot that at Ep 27/28, I’m looking for more badassery(is this even a word?).

Oh yeah I also love NYZ’s scene with King Wu. I just wish he’d add that he’s gonna abort the rescue mission 🤣

I have mixed thoughts on today’s eps. The highlights are few and they’re YY(very consistently good), the bros & LTG/princess scenes. Besides that I find today’s eps the weakest in the drama so far. I think by now everyone already know NYZ knows Ruyi the best & his views on women are close to perfect. So I think the drama didn’t have to keep repeating that. 1st with him telling LTG what a woman wants in a man. I was expecting some powerful lesson but what he said fell flat to me. It’s so repetitive that it sounds preachy. Then again & again NYZ kept being shown as the man who’s always there for Ruyi & kept giving speeches that screams ‘Best Man on the Planet’ 🤣 I mean I love that he’s that kind of man, I love their supportive talks but today I truly felt like it’s enough, can we move the plot quicker? Actually even YY & King Wu’s scene also seemed repetitive but I love YY’s calm counteract so that’s different. I’m also getting lowkey tired of seeing a crying Ruyi. She’s been crying a bit too much now. She’s human & now she has a person to rely on. I love that but maybe I’m expecting more from her by Ep 27 of the drama. I’m starting to dislike that she’s asking NYZ abt almost everything today. Suddenly she’s not that smart anymore? And NYZ gives her solutions for everything 😂 I know the drama wanna show that she can be vulnerable & she has NYZ to rely on but when it’s overly done, it makes me miss Ruyi from the early eps more! I wish they’d balance it out with her giving him solutions or just move on with the plot plz 🤣

Then! What’s with the sped up plot abt the 1st and 2nd princes? It’s so fast I couldn’t follow. It’s like someone pushed the FF button 🤣 I want the plot to move on but not THIS fast!

So that’s my thoughts on today’s eps. Not feeling a little letdown after the long wait but at least LTG and the princess’ scenes are good.

Yes it’s part of Candle in the Tomb Series adapted from the novel Ghost Blows Out The Light. You don’t have to watch them in sequence but it’ll make the understanding of the series better if you do. For dramas only(they have films too), this is the sequence that I know of:

The 1st & 5th are played by different actors but for me, the 1st is the best among all. The last one is a little different but still pretty good.

I also read that some LSS’s fans complained that Ruyi always needed NYZ to save her in the recent eps and they didn’t like it. Could be a reason for the lower rating too.

Gosh! Couldn’t agree more with your last paragraph! It’s the reason why I’m trying not to get too invested in the characters. I need to protect my heart coz I’m quite sure I of where it’s heading to. It’ll be a farewell trip to some of them🥺
