Title The Defects
Episode 7 felt like they’re trying to unravel everything within a short period. It wasn’t terrible, but the drama consistently feels like a patch work of scenes.

Beyond The Bar is on track to become the most-watched drama of 2025 on JTBC, also threatening KBS2's leadership…
I forgot this was a jTBC drama, they haven’t had a good track record recently and for a great script I thought it was by a popular network.
Happy for them!

If they have a pre-nuptial agreement, which is legally binding, logically speaking she can abort anytime if she…
Pre-Nuptial agreement is also what I think they had. It would explain the shared custody of Hash and why he resigned to letting her go but has resentment.

It would also make sense, with him being the cutthroat lawyer that he is to have had some form of marriage contract. If they decide to reveal the details, we will see

Every Korean law drama devolves into "men bad, women good" sanctimonious crap. It's actually impressive…
There is a brilliant drama that was ‘women good, men useless’. This is Salon De Holmes. Machine translation though

the ex-wife i very much dislike. i can understand not wanting to have a child, but secretly aborting it is horrible.…
She didn’t care about his feelings because she didn’t respect him enough to be the father of her child.
In her opinion, it’s his business he got traumatised because she told him she didn’t want to have a kid from the beginning. It’s like the Trunk all over again.
It sucks being with someone who can be so calculating and vile. I hope we see him heal from it.

An eye for an eye. A tooth for a tooth.

Episode 4 was a brilliant way to write an empathic lawyer handling a case that was criminal from the side of the plaintiff. The way Seok-Hun resolved the case, was captivating and had me applauding.

I'm on episode 8 and the little tap on Cho Chan Won's back when they were gushing about the main leads being together.…
That was the end of it. They kept introducing emotions they never resolved properly

I understand many people have mixed feelings about this drama and I for 1 really enjoyed the beginning until somewhere…
They made Kim Hyung-Min a character that was playing puppet master, and doing as she pleased.

Will there be romance in the drama?
There isn’t any mention of romance in the tags. If it happens, it wouldn’t be the main focus

Law in the City feels very heavy, the only great thing about that show is the food, looks sooo yummy
Law and the city isn’t heavy. They had the chance to make the cases half as good as the one in this drama, but they fumbled by concentrating on everything and nothing.
I agree with the food part

So she wasn’t ready to be a mother for a child of ML. But was ready to have it with the other guy ? Is it correct…
Might also be the case of right person wrong time? She didn’t want to have a kid with him, same way Hyo-Min’s ex was when he found out about the genetics in her family.

I love how well thought out the cases are. Which is unlike Law and the City.

We have the situation that causes a law suit, investigations and the different trials before a case is closed.

It makes you feel like you’re a part of the proceedings that showcases law in its complex and morally grey form.

Not to be antagonistic, but it has romance in its tags
