Not when you wake up after 25 years, is living in a student building, have no food, no money. Your sister hates you and you have no one on your side. Those factors alone will threaten self esteem.
And it’s easy to forget you’re famous when the world has don’t recognise you and you don’t look the way you used to.
I do not think this part of the drama is being overdone.
The romance blossoming for mother and daughter, the flirting between Tae-Oh and Chef-Nim. Dr Jung being a part of the family, and the nosy villagers, everyone is so cute!

The King is not married so he doesn’t have a Queen. The two women that sit side by side are his father’s concubines. The one that sat to the left of the king is his stepmother(most likely married after his mother got deposed). The older woman that requested the competition is his grandmother(fathers side) Yeonhui-gun only has one “official” concubine allowed to sit next to him
I appreciate the micro expressions in this drama, especially that of Yoon-A, arching an eyebrow, rolling of the eyes, etc.
Also, when they taste the food, you can see them savour it. They don’t just put the food in their mouth and start going “yum”, they allow the taste marinate on their tongues before they let out a sigh of deliciousness.
I find Lee Min-Ki’s role redundant. It’s the same cycle over and over again, he suspects Woo Seo-Jeong, does investigations then back again. I preferred him in the earlier episodes when he was sick.
I was so impressed with episode 11. I would have had no complaints if it ended here. Hopefully episode 12 brings the downfall of the Principal and Shooting Coach

The Queen dowager ate the meal her mother made not because she liked/wanted to, but she saw it as a duty to respect her mother.
This drama just keeps on getting better
