My take on this -
1. She pretended to be pregnant to get married to the brother king and during the delivery, they got some child and showed it as her own.

or
2. She was actually pregnant, but the child died and some baby was brought to keep her position as the queen. JinMu would have got the child and queen might not even know about this....
Why i think both the possibilities ca be true is, the queen mother and the late brother king never had another child. Also, i think one of theories is true because only this way I An can be king...he won't go against his nephew.....in this way, queen mother and her family can be punished.

I think, the queen mother's feelings were one side , just by going with her expressions.....she doesn't want him to marry anyone for love, but just for the sake of it. I think, the baby king is not I An's, i don't think I An would that to his brother. I know he tried to stop the brother in marrying her but for a different reason , maybe because the king had liked someone else and now giving in because she got pregnant.

Are we watching the same drama!!! Watch ep 3 @ 6:25 minutes, you will understand. Let's go by your analogy, now its clear that ML likes FL or started to like....but he has not explicitly said "I LIKE YOU or I LOVE YOU", does that mean, he doesn't like her....... We all have assumed by now that the ML likes FL and even FL also somewhat likes the ML. Though none of them have accepted their feelings. Remember audience have 360 deg view of all the character and on that basis, people make assumptions and infer.

Now I am doubting whether he was his brother 's. Considering how the queen got pregnant before the marriage just to marry the crown prince so she could have gotten pregnant with someone else and blamed it on the brother

To your 1st question - Watch ep 3 @ 6:25 minutes. Have you seen how Hui Ju treats her sister in law? That's how a normal person behaves with a person whom one doesn't like.
Like i have mentioned in my post, all his blood relatives are dead and we are in 21st century and not in joseon era where a monarch can control the crowd or his family. or can punish people for going against the royal command. He can talk freely as none of his parents are alive. When he knows his sister in law is no good and probably her family has killed his brother. I don't think anybody would just sit still and obey just because their name says so when she / her family would do anything for the power

I don't mind a mediocre drama if that has good chemistry and a decent flow.

But where i am stuck at or what i am struggling to understand still is -

ML I An's character - Let me explain (I initially thought it will be become clearer with more episodes but nope, the character is still confusing as it was in ep 1)

1. I thought ML I An is rebellious as shown in ep 1 as to how he was late to a ceremony and how he wore an attire which was not appropriate for the gathering. He took some days off without prior notice just to rebel against queen mother (god knows for what reason). But, in the same episode, he accepted queen mother's proposal of getting married to the lady of her choice to show loyalty to the throne. This is where my confusion began.

2. He is good to his nephew and helps him wherever the kid needs support but yet want to be a king himself. Ofcourse there is nothing wrong in that, as he belongs to the royal family but we are not seeing him take any steps towards that. But, it has been 3 years since his brother died and by the looks of it, he hasn't done anything towards that approach.

3.He knows that there was some foul play with the previous king's death (his brother) or about the will his brother wrote before the fire broke out. I thought, he would use that to do some investigation secretly and try to find the murderer or some dirt against queen mother. But, he just sits there and listens to the taunts of queen mother. This really baffles me. This is not olden times and this is constitutional monarch with no real power.

4. What more baffles me is I An taking shit from queen mother despite having no real connection with her like she is not blood related to him. She is not his mother, nor his sister, just his brother's wife and now that brother is gone so i don't think he should hold back anymore or for anyone. It's clear that he is not holding back (by brining hui ju in this) but why take shit?????. He knows , she got pregnant before the wedding, or how his brother was not happy with the marriage, looks like he wasn't happy throughout the married life either as how he wrote that will to dethrone himself. So, he has more than enough to shut her mouth. But, he looks traumatized everytime she opens her mouth.

I trust the baby king more than the prime minister

Nothing is set in stone until they get married. ML was explaining in one of the episodes that, how a royal wedding takes many days with many rituals So, a veto can be exercised in one of those days

He definitely will use his veto power.

Her main lead role , I supposedly is this...I have been watching kdramas for more than 12 years and I have never seen her before. Even if I had seen her in a supporting role, it must have gone in passing. I can seen her MDL drama list as well, but like I said,either her role or acting was not memorable to leave a mark

The last time I had seen a newcomer FL actress who was awful and unbearable was in "impossible heir"... I was so traumatized that I was so hesitant to watch any new actress's drama after that..when I saw this drama and it's leads, I was afraid too.... I have never seen this lead actress in any other drama. To my fear, the character of this actress is also annoying, very bratty in this drama ..... I think I am dropping this.... The leads don't match as well..

I think there is 50:50 of both (criticism and craze) because it is getting reflected in the rating sin seoul/Korea. It is already in double digits so obviously, good amount of people are liking and watching it every week.

I don't think the FL's assistant is gay. I have seen this in the other kdramas when a woman doesn't have much time to get dressed then she gets her hair chopped and dressed whatever is comfortable because her boss is demanding. Remember, she had to run all the way to the place to get the prince, obviously, she can't do that with a dress and heels on

FL looks clueless when it comes to the signals given from the opposite sex. We saw that both the men had feelings for her since the highschool. Agreed, that she was never in touch with the prince, but the PM, it should have been obvious. Women usually pick up such signals, it's inbuilt to us . But the FL is little oblivious
