Not bad. All the highlights of low-budget dramas with none of the BS of slow dramas. The length of each episode is like a recap, but typically feels complete in their story...which just goes to show how much filler goes into today's typical 30+ 45-min. episode rom-com dramas.
Apparently the game it's based on is a sad ending.
Haha, it's actually not that bad. At least for me, the acting and directing isn't all that great, so there's not much emotional connection. Not too bad as a casual watch/playing in the background.
If you've watched enough good dramas, this is pretty close to comedy (in my opinion). It's good at throwing every cliched misunderstanding into the story. I personally listened to it like a radio drama and maybe took a peek every 10 min or so while doing my daily commissions on Genshin. Recommended if you're like me and you almost always need something playing in the background but don't have the time or emotional commitment to actually watch something good. As always though, the moral of the story is: if you're not sure about something, just ask. Don't assume, and don't let it eat at you. Communication is key.
I dropped this after 3 episodes, thought it was a bit boring imo. Debating whether I should give it a shot again...…
I personally enjoyed the pacing up until the last quarter, which seemed a bit too rushed to me. I didn't think it was drawn out, but if you think the first three episodes are slow, then the rest of it will probably seem slow.
ME !!! he said in earlier eps that he'd rather die than to loose ah reum. you know what that means. yupp HE'D…
True, but since I've never been in a relationship, anything I'm going to say is probably bs. I'm assuming that love probably changes after marriage from "in love" to more of a "familial love", which is what Ahreum currently seems to see Derek as. Her loyalty and devotion to Derek is probably a mix between romantic love and familial love, while her feelings for JiHun are more like familial love up until the truth came out and yaddyadda which probably stoked some flames back but who knows, with where they ended the episode. But also the whole time I kinda get a feeling that Ahreum wanted the marriage more than Derek himself? Like, she likes the idea of getting a partner and building a family, and Derek just happened to chase her and accept her?

From what the episode 12 was implying, I'm guessing his mom is the head of Helmes or at least very much involved. He was born/raised into this life and it's rather unfortunate.
I would personally rate this drama as at least an 8 so far. It's not the best drama of the year by any means, but it is definitely a solid drama to me.

Well then again, her feelings for JiHun weren't exactly fond up until she found out the truth behind his lies. I really do feel bad for Derek. I was really hoping for Ahreum and Derek to stay together through thick and thin, just so it'd break the usual kdrama mold of people ending up with their "first real love". I don't want him to die, but if the writer's end goal is for Ahreum to end up with JiHun again, that'd be the only way to go really. If he can't live an honest life to redeem himself, death will give some points. And it will let Ahreum grieve and move on from him without guilt. But still...I really like Derek with Ahreum.
