Hadn't watched the third season of Love Catcher, but now that I'm rewatching season 2 while waiting...the editing is really different between Mnet and TVING...I sorta miss those good ol' musical moments lol.
Music at the beginning of ep 7 be giving me The Blade and Petal ep 1 flashbacks. XD I don't think I can ever get used to electric guitar for historical/historical fantasy dramas.
Welp. I actually hated the police lol. I didn't care about their thoughts, feelings, or perspective past the first episode. The dude's inner monologue got so preachy. Their opinions on the whole love thing in the last episode seemed so insincere.
What was the theme of the story? All crimes will be found out and justice will come? Then it would have been preferable to see more emphasis on the consequences of their actions. Don't show me how brightly they smiled with each other. Show me how tormented they were with paranoia and mistrust. How they loved each other but couldn't trust each other. And consequently hurt each other. How innocent people, be it bystanders or police, got hurt in the process. But with most of the story centering around the two main leads' emotional connection and somewhat happier times, "love makes you do crazy things" felt more like the main idea? In which case a "1 year later" for the couple would have been interesting to see. Granted, the scene with how Shen Yun got adopted was nice.
Lol I'm pretty sure the drama takes place nowhere near 2009, so why in the world is the head of a large business conglomerate using Windows 7 on his PCs? XD
"What if they actually casted a 14-15 year old?" was a thought I wish I didn't have. Now I'm even more creeped out lol. Them Romeo and Juliet vibes. But at least Romeo wasn't scheming to get Juliet...? XD
Finally finished it on my third try in 8 years lol. It's alright. The ending was not as great as what I had hoped it would be. But the chemistry was great.
Just leaving this here: even if you don't know Chinese, if you have watched enough romance/marriage dramas, you could probably just watch the Chinese subbed ones and still understand.
really? i found all the dating shows with hosts more interesting, they made it more entertaining. love catcher's…
I think it's because the main appeal of this show (season 1 at least) for me was how chemistry affects dance. Which is why I found the hosts distracting. Especially since they had nothing to do with dance and so contributed nothing in that regard.
Really liked this drama!
