I do love both sides, as a big Joonie fan -not gonna lie, I'm expecting some dark/juicy/awesome scenes from Ak Hee! But I haven't watched an American show in years...all my shows are subtitled nowadays, lol ;)

I love dominant male leads myself, but kdramas are known for this- especially older kdramas. They are everywhere. I think Hyun is refreshing. I wouldn't say he's a loser for pursuing his dreams. And my wardrobe would be amazing, lol

Absolutely loved the first episode, it was intriguing. And it was a *first* episode. I love the different personalities, but prefer Hyun. It's his original personality. Since Ak Hee was born from the king's abuse, it's fun but also a sadder role to me. There is a darker undercurrent that is prevalent in so many of Joonie's dramas, and I love this. At a Distance/Weak Hero/hopefully Bastard- I love the characters he chooses to play.

I was waiting for this drama after learning that two of my faves were playing both male leads!
It is not bl, but bromance.
My favorite genre.
It is full of emotions-
Many episodes have a subtle edginess, even (low grade) controlling moments from Shison Jun that make it a great bromance.
Takahashi Fumiya is so earnest, so openly innocent and adorkable. I. Can't. Even.

Bromance. The very best kind of bromance, too. I love this series, wish they made more like this.

Bromance can be absolutely amazing, and this is one of those!

This became one of my favorite bromances from the very first episode that aired. I try not to think about the second season too much because I'd be devastated if it didn't air (or the release date was delayed 5.2 thousand years, lol).

I love all of their works.

It is very reasonable that people who are fans of Go Ahead would question the casting, direction, etc.,
Usually people who are the most excited are 1. Those that didn't watch the original 2. Fans of a cast member in the remake 3. Love the original so much, they are happy to see it remade, any version.
I adore Go Ahead. And for those who are critical-it is popular BECAUSE of the original cast.
It was perfect.
If you compare them, I do not think that the remake will reach the same level. Statistics show that remakes are rarely as successful.
I will definitely give it a chance! Because I love love the storyline of the original. It contains many tropes that I am obsessed with.
Instead of comparing the dramas, I tend to look at them as two entirely different works. And I'm pretty sure that I'll love them both.
