The BL gods just gave us the best undeserved gift possible! Part of me wants to write 10 pages on how much I LOVED the first episode. But the other part of me just can't wait to rewatch it. So I'm keeping this short. Hira and Kiyoi haven't changed a bit, but both have grown up so much 🥰. After one episode, I already know that for me this is the best surprise series of 2023!
Pond and Phuwin are doing SUCH A GREAT JOB that I can't even bother to complain about the writing this week. GMMTV is sooooo lucky to have them, they better get a great project with solid writers for their next series.
I thought we had one more episode and then it just ended 😢. But I absolutely loved this show. Most BLs these days focus on a helpless guy meeting a super rich powerful guy who loves them instantly and I can't relate to that. But I've been an intern who got passed over for a full-time job and for me Seung Hyun was sooooo relatable in this episode.
This is going to be the year of office BLs and I think this one already set the standard. Every day in that office felt realistic, but the story was also never boring. Also, Kwon Hyuk did an amazing job portraying his emotions throughout the series. Most actors would have made Jong Chan seem stiff or boring, but Kwon Hyuk showed Jong Chan experiencing a full range of emotions and made the character feel like a real person.
Honestly, bestie… I’m done with this ship. I need them with other actors now. I feel like we’ve been seeing…
I don't blame Team or Prem for the way yhe character was rewritten in BU. It was unfortunate, but I think Prem did the best he could.
I've seen Prem do really well without Boun, but I've never seen Boun be good without Prem. I have also never seen anything that made me think that either wants their ship to end, so I'm sticking with them for now and hoping for a better script. But I think all of your reasons for being done are valid.
Their studio does suck. But at the end of the day, Thai BL isn't really about making great series about gay guys. It's about making money. Selling a "relationship" between two good looking guys has the potential to make studios a lot of money. If fans ship them, they get endorsements which are almost always much more lucrative than the money they make on series. So studios don't bother to get good scripts, because it's not worth the investment. And these days, often times the shows with some of the worst scripts get the highest ratings *cough* Cutie Pie 2 *cough* Unforgotten Night.
The fans might miss out on some ships that could be good. But fans also have a wide range of ships to be fans of these days. And I think BP know how lucky they are to have such a large fanbase. I can't imagine they're in a hurry to give that up.
So who perdicted that Thai BL in 2023 would include a random evil guy casually threatening a main character's mother with forced prostitution? 🤔 I wasn't expecting that.
But the writing in this series is so all over the place, that I can't really be surprised. So many ideas, but not alot of focus on creating a strong story. My brain hurts after saying "HUH" and "wait what?" so many times in one episode, but I know I'll be back next week 🙃
Also, I thought Neung and Palm forgot they were dating until part 4/4. Maybe the writers forgot, idk 🤷♀️
How do you feel Win and Team were different in UWMA?
Exactly. I went back rewatched the WinTeam scenes of UWMA a few weeks ago. And it reminded me how different the Team and their relationship is in BU than in UWMA. I miss how they used to be.
Honestly, bestie… I’m done with this ship. I need them with other actors now. I feel like we’ve been seeing…
You make good points like always, but I don't want them to separate. Finding a solid ship partner is difficult. Most BL actors never find a ship that takes them to the next level. Boun and Prem aren't going easily find other guys. Even if they do, the next guy will always be compared to the first and get trashed by the fandom. And think of the big ships that "break up" those actors never make it back to the top.
If Boun and Prem get one or two good scripts with characters that aren't in college, I think fans will love it. Unfortunately, WabiSabi can't be bothered to hire good scriptwriters and the actors (and fans) suffer because of it. *sigh* I hope they wait until a good role comes around before they do another series. They don't want to end up like KimCop or OhmFluke!
Where can I get my t-shirt bestie? Surviving it was truly exhausting!!!
All true, it's hard to have any shame after some of the crap I've seen 🤣But Cutie Pie 2 was a real test of strength. And after that, Even Sun and too many awful BLs, NLMG is fun🙃. If you turn your brain off and just enjoy Phuwin and Pond's great chemistry!!!

"If you have Prime, I’ll deliver in either my Mercedes Benz or Porshe." I laughed OUT LOUD!!! 🤣🤣 I'll wait outside for your delivery lol.
Thank you for including the broccoli, I'm going to need it because NLMG really is our current challenge. I'll not giving up on it though! See you in the comments section 😊. We can survive that one too!!
