Yep. She was the only bad thing about in Tale of the Nine Tailed, and she hasn't improved in this. And like you said, Rowoon's acting is amateurish too (an easy way to tell is close your eyes and listen to how he says his lines -- it's like amateur hour duing a high school play). :)

Plus the whole drama is blah. I did eventually go back to watch up to Episode 4 -- not funny, not interesting and poorly written. Dropped. Moving on :)

It's so boring. Badly written and dull. Let's face it the only reason people are watching this is because of Rowoon. If a less popular actor had been cast in the part, it would be one of the least-watched K-dramas this year as Jo Bo Ah can't act.

Every culture gets mocked, including Korean culture. That's life and those with a healthy self-respect ignore it. Arabs, however, are butt hurt about anything related to their culture. So much so they have a hissy fit when a character even WEARS an Arab thawb.

Yet you don't see Germans downgrading dramas if a character wears a dirndl, Thais don't launch a troll attack if a Korean character wears a chakkri, neither do the Scots launch an online attack against a drama if someone wears a kilt.

Those nationalities, (and most of the rest of the world apparently) are a helluva lot more emotionally mature than Arabs it seems.

All I know is I now avoid EVERYTHING coming out of any Arab country, because if this is the level of maturity of Arabs, I'm not supporting anything out of Arab culture with my hard-earned cash.

That's what caused me to drop it. So many unlikeable characters scene after scene, but her team are the worst. Trash people. In every drama, IMO, there should be at least one character you like and I didn't like any of them. Even Rowoon's :(

Thanks, and do watch it if you can. I think you will grow to love both women when you realize why they do what they do.

Especially because, while not a perfect person by any means, Eun Mi loves her daughter more than life, and it becomes obvious would do anything to ensure she is happy and safe.

Too fast? I have hundreds of dramas I want to watch, why would I waste any more time on one I don't like? Especially as I hate the FL.

Hate to break it to you, but it's pretty much guaranteed its reincarnated soulmates. :) You can see it in the trailer for the drama with him asking her to run away with him as they stand on a bridge during their past lives and he pulls her into his arms. Plus the title Destined with You is a dead giveaway. And I agree with you, not one of my fave genres.

Yeah, I think you either like this or it rubs you the wrong way. I didn't like it from the first scene and continued to dislike it through the end of Ep 2. Good you're enjoying it though as I'm not here to destroy your enjoyment of it. To each their own :)

I see the crazy Arabs are out downrating this all over the Internet again. God I despise these people who belong in the 15th century. Normally I would give this one a 7.5 out of 10 -- entertaining but not anything spectacualr -- but I'm upgrading it to a 9 out of 10 just to counteract some of the lunatic Arabs.

I've seen him in real life and he's very handsome without all the crazy make-up they put on him for his dramas.

I just dropped it after Ep 2. Really really really wanted this to be a good one as Rowoon is adorable, but I can't watch any more of this badly written drama.

How old are you? 5 years old? All bent out of shape because someone doesn't think an actress's performance was good. So bent out of shape you have to be nasty and rude. Go away, as you are obviously the "toxic" one.

Yeah, it's very dull and slow. Sad as I love Rowoon but I've given up on this one. Ep 2 is no better than Ep 1.

The Good Bad Mother was in the same time slot and did incredibly well. Started out with higher ratings than this one then got massively increased ratings as new episodes came out. Have a feeling this one's ratings will go even worse as it isn't very good.

Agreed. It's disappointing so far. I'm a huge Rowoon fan but even he isn't saving this one for me. I watched the last half of Ep 1 on double speed and was still bored. I'll give Ep 2 a chance tho because of Rowoon but will dump it after if it doesn't improve. EDIT: Actually, I'm dropping it now. Life is too short to waste anymore time on this. Sad.

Exactly. This drama would be so boring if every character was bland and "nice". What makes Eun Mi so interesting is she is flawed, just like we all are, and particularly flawed because of her horrible childhood and having to bring up a child while still a child herself.

Plus while some people think Eun Mi behaves badly, personally I think Jin Hee is the worst of the two women (although I love how she is written) as she is almost 30 years old and still acts like a spoiled brat with her mother, always telling her what to do/what not to do, and thinking everything should be the way SHE wants it to be both with her mother and in her job.

Why this drama is so good tho is the slightly toxic but ultimately loving relationship between the two woman and how they both behave because of their own particular life experiences.

It is also true to life as some parts of their relationship are like my own relationship with my own mother. I love her to death, she is an amazing mother, but sometimes her character flaws make me want to kill her :) and my character flaws do the same to her :). We also have the same screaming matches only to be back to 'normal' 5 minutes later :) Been this way my whole life and I'm in my 40s.

Loved Episode 10. I particularly love that Eun Mi never grows up. :) Her personality makes sense tho considering she was never allowed to be a proper teen as she spent her entire childhood being beaten up at home by an abusive father only to have her high school years ruined when she got pregnant and the fact of that pregnancy being spread all over her school by Jin Hong's sister. With the icing on the cake that Jin Hong's sister also gathered her friends to beat her up as well.

Amazing she turned out as well as she did and that she brought up a cool, responsible daughter while still a child herself.
